摘要： A wall mounting bracket assembly comprising a one piece plastic body including a front wall, an integral peripheral wall extending from the front wall and an integral peripheral flange for attachment to a wall of a building. In use the body is mounted on the building and then siding is applied to the wall of the building and the edges of the siding are brought into closely adjacent relation to the peripheral wall of the body. A plastic flange member having an axial wall is telescoped over the peripheral wall of the body and until the flange engages the siding. The axial wall of the flange and the peripheral wall of the body having interengaging projections and recesses so that the flange is selectively locked in position.

摘要： A molding assembly having a hanger member fixedly securable to an inner or outer wall of a building and a decorative molding insert member releasably engageable with the hanger member. The molding insert member is supported at a lower edge portion by a lower J-channel of the hanger member. An upper L-shaped portion of the insert member is supported by a depending lip portion of the hanger member which forms a second channel such that no external fastening elements are required to secure the molding insert member to the hanger member. The insert member can be quickly and easily releasably engaged within the J-channel and the second channel without the need for special tools. In an alternative preferred embodiment the insert member includes a lip portion which is adapted to slidably engage an under surface of an adjacently positioned insert member to provide an even more continuous appearance for adjacently positioned insert members. An end cover is also disclosed for covering an exposed end portion of the molding assembly when the end portion is secured to a section of a wall where one or more ends of the molding assembly do not abut another wall portion extending perpendicularly from the molding assembly. In an alternative embodiment of the end cover, the end cover includes a shoulder portion formed to protrude from a lower lip portion which engages a notch formed in a lip of a lower J-channel of a hanger member of the present invention. In this manner, once the end cover is releasably secured to the hanger member, the end cover cannot be slidably urged-off of the hanger member such as by thermal expansion of one or more sections of molding insert members.

摘要： A surround molding assembly is disclosed for a doorway window or window of a structure such as a residential home or commercial building. The surround molding assembly may include various embodiments of pilasters, end and corner members, and mantel members that may be fastened to one another or the structure with limited use and visibility of external fasteners. In one embodiment, a decorative molding strip includes a base strip and a decorative strip interconnected by a living hinge. The decorative strip may be pivoted about the living hinge to a closed position over the base strip to hide internally located fasteners. In another embodiment an extension cap is interconnected between a corner member and a decorative molding strip or pilaster without external fasteners. As a result, the molding assemblies of the present invention simplify assembly while providing an aesthetically pleasing appearance free of external fasteners.

摘要： A plastic gable vent for placement on the wall of a building to provide a louver wherein siding abuts the gable vent comprising a plastic body having a front wall and a peripheral wall circumscribing the front wall. A plurality of integral longitudinally spaced louvers are provided on the front wall. Each louvers includes an inwardly extending apex with side walls, one of which has a slot therein. The plastic body further includes an inner peripheral wall that circumscribes the louvers. A flat sheet is attached on the plastic body and overlies the inwardly extending apices. The screen is opaque and formed with vertically spaced slots when mounted on the inner peripheral wall, opaque portions engage the inner apices of the louvers, and the slots are positioned such that they are spaced transversely from the walls that have the openings therein. A screen overlies the flat sheet. A movable flange member is telescoped over the peripheral wall of the body and includes a laterally extending flange adapted to overlie portions of abutting siding or the like . The flange member and the outer peripheral wall include interengaging portions for selectively positioning the flange member. The plastic body includes a laterally extending flange for mounting the plastic body on the wall of a building.

摘要： A one piece wall mounting bracket comprising a plastic body including a front wall and an integral peripheral wall extending from the front wall and having a free edge. Diametrically opposed portions of the free edge of the peripheral wall are formed with notches such that those peripheral portions can engage siding on wall of a building. The portions with the notches are preferably convex to firmly engage the siding. These wall portions can be readily severed to form a straight edge. A portion of the free edge of the wall is formed with a groove for receiving caulking. The groove is defined by a radially peripheral bead on the free edge which includes spaced walls forming the groove for receiving caulking compounds.

摘要： A ridge roof vent adapted to be mounted on the ridge of a roof and comprising a top wall that is spaced from the remainder of the vent and is adapted to receive overlapping pieces of shingle roofing material comprising transversely extending primary indicia provided along the length of the ridge roof vent and including secondary transverse indicia associated with the transverse primary indicia in repetitive series. Each series of transverse primary indicia spans a distance less than the length of a shingle piece. The transverse primary indicia associated with the secondary indicia are positioned such that when a first shingle piece is applied from one end, the end of the shingle piece will be positioned between a pair of equally spaced secondary indicia and can be used to provide an overlap of the ends of the shingle pieces without the need for measurement. The ridge roof vent further includes a longitudinally extending line defining the center of the ridge vent and the transverse primary indicia intersects the line. The ridge roof vent further includes longitudinally extending indicia corresponding to dimensional increments such that they serve as a guide for cutting the vent where the roof is such that a equal number of ridge vents cannot be used and a ridge vent needs to be cut.
