Abstract: An electronic device includes at least one antenna and a processor configured to transmit and receive data to and from the a base station connected by communication, through the at least one antenna, perform a handover from the first base station to a second base station, receive first system information broadcast from the second base station, identify information related to a system information request based on the first system information, identify a time point for transmitting a system information request based on a data inactivity timer, and transmit a system information request to the second base station based on the information related to a system information request at the identified time point for transmitting a system information request.

Abstract: An electronic device for providing a communication service, and an operating method thereof is provided. Herein, the electronic device may include a communication circuitry, at least one processor, and a memory operatively coupled with the at least one processor to store a Tracking Area Identifier (TAI) list. The memory may include instructions, when executed, causing the at least one processor to run a specified first timer upon detecting an attach failure or a Tracking Area Update (TAU) failure in a first cell, perform cell reselection on a second cell during the first timer runs, determine whether a TAI of the second cell is included in the TAI list, and when the TAI of the second cell is included in the TAI list, forcibly expire the first timer, and transmit an attach request message or a TAU message through the communication circuitry.

Abstract: An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes at least one communication processor configured to support a first network communication and a second network communication, and a memory configured to store information about at least one first band supporting dual connectivity for the first network communication and the second network communication among a plurality of bands which correspond to the first network communication supported by the electronic device, and the at least one communication processor may be configured to camp on a first cell supporting the first network communication, after camping on the first cell, perform a measurement on at least some of the at least one first band among the plurality of bands in an idle state, and perform a cell reselection based on a measurement result for the at least some of the at least one first band. Herein, a measurement on a remaining band except for the at least one first band among the plurality of bands may not be performed.
