Abstract: A light-emitting element including a first electrode, a second electrode provided on the first electrode, and an emission layer provided between the first electrode and the second electrode is provided. The emission layer may include a polycyclic compound having N atoms and a B, two terphenyl groups bonded to a polycyclic ring, and a sterically bulky substituent such that the polycyclic compound has a sphere-like structure in three dimensions. The shape of the polycyclic compound may reduce aggregations, interactions, and/or the like between molecules of the polycyclic compound.
