摘要: A session information management system is provided for efficiently processing session information in communications, and maintaining the consistency of session information among several application servers. The system comprises a plurality of first computers connected to terminals, and a second computer connected to the plurality of first computers. The second computer gives the session information an attribute indicative of the presence or absence of an update in the session information. The first computer continues a process in response to a request from one of the terminals based on the attribute of the session information given by the second computer.

摘要: In a disk drive, since high-frequency repeatable runout (RRO) components own low correlative relationships between adjoining tracks, a servo control system of a magnetic head is followed to the high-frequency RRO components, and thus, in the worst case, there is a possibility that data which have been previously recorded on these tracks are destroyed. To avoid this problem, both a tracking type repetitive control unit which is followed to low-frequency RRO components, and a rejection type repetitive control unit which cancels the high-frequency RRO components are provided in a following control loop in order that the following control system is not unnecessarily followed to the high-frequency RRO.

摘要: A conventional carrier detecting circuit which generates a carrier detection level by integral action based on a reception signal and detects using the carrier detection level whether a carrier exists is arranged to charge and discharge in the following manner, an integration capacitor in an integrator that performs the integral action. Namely, the integration capacitor is (i) either charged or discharged in accordance with a result of the discrimination of the reception signal at the carrier detection level, or (ii) charged in accordance with the result of the discrimination while the integration capacitor is constantly discharged at a constant level. In contrast, a carrier detecting circuit of the present invention is arranged so that the integration capacitor is both charged and discharged constantly at a level that varies in accordance with the result of the discrimination. In other words, the integration capacitor is charged and discharged using a difference current between a current charged from a charging circuit and a current discharged to a discharging circuit. With this, it is possible to reduce the chip area without causing problems due to the reduction of the currents flowing through the transistors.

摘要: A cathode ray tube and a color selecting member, which can be manufactured without defects by using an existing projection aligner of a simple structure and can always produce a picture of high quality, in which phosphor layer has a pattern in stripes in the lateral direction of a screen, or in the horizontal direction and a color selecting member has slits elongated in the longitudinal direction of the screen, or in the horizontal scan line direction. Even in case of the thermal expansion of the color selecting member or a considerable longitudinal deviation between the exposure position at the time of manufacture and the position where an electron beam strikes in actual use, an electron beam can freely pass through the slits. Therefore, the accuracy of irradiation of the phosphor layer with the electron beam is not adversely influenced.

摘要: A blood analyzer system incorporates a conveyor for handling and transporting sample blood through at least one blood analyzer and an automatic blood smear generator under the control of a programmable controller. Blood samples are stored in sample containers having identifiers for the sample blood that they contain. These sample containers are transported through the system in protective racks that permit the reading of the identifiers. The results of analysis by one or more blood analyzers in the system determines the need for performing or omitting subsequent operations on a particular sample blood. When a smeared blood sample is to be made, the controller assures that the smear thickness is consistent with other samples regardless of the thickness or viscosity of the sample blood. If the system fails to make a required smeared blood sample, a detector sounds an alarm, warning of a system failure.

摘要: An electrophotographic method and apparatus is disclosed which is able to faithfully reproduce the half-tone portion of an original image on a photosensitive medium having an electroconductive layer, a photoconductive layer and an insulating surface layer. The present invention is directed particularly to improvements in the secondary charging step in the above method. According to the invention, the process of secondary charge includes the steps of subjecting the photosensitive medium to the action of corona discharge having the component of opposite polarity to that of the primary charge with simultaneous light image exposure, exposing the photosensitive medium surface to a light image while reducing or stopping the action of corona discharge and exposing the photosensitive medium surface to a light image while controlling the amount of corona discharge.
