Abstract: A control device for an internal combustion engine capable of performing additional injection in addition to regular injection includes an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit is configured to calculate an ignition timing at a predetermined crank angle before a compression top dead center. The electronic control unit is configured to calculate an injection amount of fuel at a predetermined time interval and to calculate an injection amount of the fuel at the predetermined crank angle. The electronic control unit is configured to control the fuel injection valve such that the fuel injection valve additionally injects the fuel in an increase amount before ignition, when the injection amount calculated at the predetermined crank angle is increased due to retardation of the ignition tinting calculated after the fuel in the injection amount calculated at the predetermined time interval is regularly injected.

Abstract: A control system includes a controller. The controller estimates the swing-back amount indicating the turning amount of the crankshaft in the reverse rotation direction until the crankshaft stops. The controller calculates a stop-time counter value which is a value of a crank counter at the time when the engine is stopped based on a final counter value which is the value of the crank counter calculated last before the crankshaft stops and the estimated swing-back amount. The controller corrects the swing-back amount used for calculating the stop-time counter value based on a difference between the number of driving times calculated with reference to the map based on the calculated stop-time counter value and the value of the crank counter and the number of driving times calculated by increasing the number of driving times by one each time the high pressure system fuel pressure increases by the threshold or more.

Abstract: A control apparatus for an internal combustion engine includes an electronic control unit configured to i) perform a fuel introduction process, ii) calculate a total injection amount in the fuel introduction process, and control each of fuel injection valves based on a required injection amount per cylinder when the fuel introduction process is performed, and iii) perform a cylinder deactivation process for stopping fuel from being injected for one or some of cylinders, and controlling each of the fuel injection valves such that an amount of the fuel obtained by dividing the total injection amount is injected for a cylinder or cylinders other than the one or some of the cylinders for which the fuel is stopped from being injected, when the fuel introduction process is performed.

Abstract: A controller for an internal combustion engine of a spark ignition type is provided. When stopping combustion in a cylinder in a situation in which a crankshaft of the internal combustion engine is rotating, one of a fuel cut process and a fuel feeding process is selectively executed. When combustion is resumed in the cylinder in which the combustion has been stopped, an enrichment process is executed to control a fuel injection valve so that an air-fuel ratio is set to be richer than a stoichiometric air-fuel ratio. When the enrichment process is executed, a decrease amount of an oxygen storage amount of the three-way catalyst corresponding to the enrichment process is set.

Abstract: A blow-by gas treating device discharges blow-by gas into intake air. A controller selects and executes one of a fuel cutoff process and a fuel introduction process when stopping combustion in a cylinder under a situation in which a crankshaft of the internal combustion engine is rotating. An injection valve controlling section controls a fuel injection valve to regulate a fuel injection amount in a period in which the combustion in the cylinder is stopped under the situation in which the crankshaft is rotating. The injection valve controlling section decreases the fuel injection amount from the fuel injection valve as an oil temperature that is the temperature of engine oil increases.

Abstract: A controller for an internal combustion engine includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry is configured to execute an estimation process that estimates a density parameter of fuel in an upper layer portion of a delivery pipe and a density parameter of fuel in a lower layer portion of the delivery pipe and an operation process that includes acquiring a density parameter of the fuel injected from a fuel injection valve and operating an operation unit of the internal combustion engine based on the acquired density parameter. The estimation process includes a process that assumes that when the density of the fuel flowing into the delivery pipe is high, a greater proportion of the fuel flowing into the delivery pipe flows into the lower layer portion than when the density of the fuel flowing into the delivery pipe is low.
