摘要: An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for determining a read voltage threshold for solid-state storage media. A data set read module reads a data set from storage cells of solid-state storage media. The data set is originally stored in the storage cells with a known bias. A deviation module determines that a read bias for the data set deviates from the known bias. A direction module determines a direction of deviation for the data set. The direction of deviation is based on a difference between the read bias of the data set and the known bias. An adjustment module adjusts a read voltage threshold for the storage cells of the solid-state storage media based on the direction of deviation.

摘要: The invention relates to a system and method for controlling interfacing parameters for a device when connected to a host is provided. The method comprises: monitoring for an initial connection by the device to the host; then, while the device is establishing the connection with the host, utilizing a communication bus controller contained in a microprocessor in the device to process communications with the host at a first data transmission rate; and after a predetermined condition, re-establishing the connection with the host using a second bus controller in the device that processes the communications at a second transmission rate that is higher the first data transmission rate.

摘要: A method for fabricating a piezoelectric actuator. The method includes using a mold to place a first portion of a piezoelectric actuator in compression and to place a second portion of the piezoelectric actuator in tension. In a more specific embodiment, the method further includes selecting piezoelectric and elastic passive layer materials; choosing actuator dimensions with reference to desired actuator performance parameters; and then employing a curved mold to form a piezoelectric actuator with the desired dimensions. The piezoelectric actuator exhibits a first surface with compressive stresses caused by curing of the actuator via the curved mold.

摘要: An adjustable link assembly includes a pair of coupling yokes, each having a threaded rod projecting therefrom. First and second lock members projecting from the corresponding first and second yokes. The first and second yokes are threadably coupled to opposite ends of a threaded central body. The body has a central non-cylindrical adjusting portion located between first and second indexing portions. A bracket is slidable over the body. The bracket is rotatable with respect to the body when the bracket is positioned over the indexing portions and being non-rotatably coupled to the body when the bracket is positioned over the central adjusting portion. A lever is pivotally coupled to the bracket so that an end of the lever may be coupled to either of the lock members to prevent rotation of the central body relative to the yokes.

摘要: The present invention relates to a process of solid or semi-solid fermentation of food material. The process includes the utilisation of a conical vessel to carry out the fermentation at a high dry matter content. One of the beneficial effects of the process is that fermentation time can be drastically reduced. Thus, it is possible to conduct the fermentation of soy, for example, within less than 16 hours while obtaining a tasty, nutritionally valuable paste based on soy. The invention also relates to the use of conical vessels to conduct fermentation.

摘要: A product delivery system for delivering sterile liquid product having a positive shut-off valve. The product delivery system comprises a compressible reservoir, a flexible delivery element extending from the reservoir, and a shut-off valve movable from a closed position to an opened position, the hollow interior of the delivery element being closed when the shut-off valve is in its closed position and open when the shut-off valve is in its opened position to prevent the backflow of the delivered liquid product into the delivery element and reservoir to thereby maintain the sterility of the liquid product contained within the reservoir and the delivery element.

摘要: A controller is used for an electronic memory device which has multi-level cell (MLC) memory elements. Each MLC memory element is capable of storing at least two bits. The controller includes a physical interface to couple the controller to the electronic memory device. The controller also includes a processing unit coupled to the physical interface. The processing unit operates the electronic memory device in a single-level cell (SLC) mode using a restricted number of programming states for a single data bit. The restricted number of programming states includes a first state which is an erase state. The restricted number of programming states also includes a second state, other than the erase state, which is closest to a natural threshold voltage of the MLC memory elements.
