    摘要: A coding apparatus is provided that improves the quality of a decoded signal in a hierarchical coding (scalable coding) scheme in which a coding target band is selected in each hierarchy (layer). The coding apparatus includes a first layer coding section that selects a first quantization target band of inputted spectrum and generates first layer coded information including first band information of the selected band. An adder generates a first layer difference spectrum using a first decoded signal generated using the first layer coded information and the inputted spectrum. A second layer coding section generates second layer coded information including second band information of the selected band, wherein first layer coding section determines a method of quantizing the gain of the inputted spectrum from a plurality of candidates based on the first band information and second band information.

    摘要: An audio/music decoding device capable of improving quality of a decoded signal generated by conceal processing of a frame erase using a scalable encoding method. The audio/music decoding device includes a frame loss detector that determines whether encoded information is normally received and generates frame loss information indicating the result of the determination. According to the frame loss information, a first decoder performs decoding by using at least one of the following encoded information: the first encoded information on the frame immediately before, the first encoded information on the current frame, and the second encoded information on the current frame. According to the frame loss information, a second decoder performs decoding by using at least one of the following encoded information: the first encoded information on the frame immediately before, the first encoded information on the current frame, the second encoded information on the frame immediately before, and the second encoded information on the current frame. An adder adds the decoded signal outputted from the first decoder and the decoded signal outputted from the second decoder.

    摘要: There is provided a communication device for effectively encoding an audio/music signal while maintaining a predetermined quality by controlling the transmission bit rate of the transmission side considering the use environment of the reception side. In this device, a transmission mode decision unit (101) detects an environment noise contained in the background of the audio/music signal in the input signal and decides the transmission mode controlling the transmission bit rate of the signal transmitted from a communication terminal device (150), which is a communication terminal of the partner side, according to the environment noise level. A signal decoding unit (103) decodes encoded information transmitted from the communication terminal device (150) via a transmission path (110) and outputs the obtained signal as an output signal. Here, the signal decoding unit (103) detects a transmission error by comparing the transmission mode information contained in the encoded information outputted from the transmission path (110), to the transmission mode information obtained by the transmission mode decision unit (101) while considering the transmission delay.
