摘要: An authentication system stops performing an authentication process on a communication terminal which is in an aborted state. The communication terminal can connect to a network when the authentication thereof is successful. The communication terminal changes between an operational state and an aborted state, and indicates a transition to the aborted state when the communication terminal changes from the operational state to the aborted state. An authentication device repeatedly performs the authentication process, counts a predetermined period for the communication terminal whose authentication has been successful, and performs the authentication process again on the communication terminal when the predetermined period elapses. When a transition to the aborted state is indicated by the communication terminal, the authentication device stops counting the predetermined period for the communication terminal and keeps the authentication of the communication terminal effective.

摘要: A liquid application apparatus applies application liquid onto a band-shaped base material that is conveyed continuously. The liquid application apparatus includes: an application cylinder which includes an application section and two small diameter sections having a diameter smaller than the application section, the two small diameter sections being arranged so as to interpose the application section, the application section having an upper portion that is in contact with the band-shaped base material and a lower portion at which the application liquid is supplied, the supplied application liquid on the application section being transferred to the band-shaped base material at the upper portion of the application section while the application cylinder is rotated; a first blade which makes contact with a circumferential surface of the application section of the application cylinder at a contact line, the first blade scraping away an excess of the application liquid on the application section of the application cylinder before the application liquid is transferred to the band-shaped base material; and a second blade which is in contact with circumferential surfaces of the two small diameter sections of the application cylinder.

摘要: A system having a client (24) and a server (21) between which two virtual LAN systems are set for normal application and emergency application is disclosed. The server transmits pattern information of a harmful program to the client through the normal virtual LAN (S11). The client monitors intrusion of the harmful program based on the pattern information (S21), and upon detection of the harmful program, switches the virtual LAN from normal to emergency applications (S22). The client transmits infection information about the harmful program to the server through the emergency virtual LAN (S23). The server that has received the infection information transmits an extermination program for the harmful program to the client (S12). The client, upon recognition that the harmful program is invalidated by executing the extermination program, switches the virtual LAN from emergency to normal applications (S26).

摘要: The ink jet recording method performs ink jet recording of an image on a recording medium using an ink jet head. The method allows an electrostatic force to act on ink prepared by dispersing charged particles containing colorants in a dispersion medium to form a thread of said ink, divides the thread into ink droplets of the ink to eject the ink droplets toward the recording medium and allows the ink droplets to be landed onto the recording medium moving relatively to the ink jet head to form an image dot on the recording medium. When a speed at which the recording medium and an ejection portion of the ink jet head for ejecting the ink droplets move relatively is referred to as “v”, a division frequency of the thread is referred to as “f”, and a diameter of the thread is referred to as “d”, the following expression is satisfied: (v/f)
