    摘要: A foot operated riveter with changeable feed assembly and a method of use is disclosed. The riveter includes a slot which is shaped and configured to receive a complementary connector provided on one or more feed assemblies. Each feed assembly is provided to hold and supply a different type of fastener for securing workpieces together. The connector on the feed assembly also includes a locking member for locking the feed assembly to the riveter. The riveter also includes an enclosed linkage assembly which connects the foot pedal to a plunger which drives a fastener presented by the engaged feed assembly into one or more workpieces.

The fastening system includes a first connecting member, a second connecting member, a rivet riveting the first connecting member and the second connecting member together, and an elastic member compressed by the rivet. The fastening device includes a rivet head forming tool, a positioning assembly positioning the first connecting member, a first driving assembly driving the rivet head forming tool to move, a second driving assembly driving the second connecting member to rotate, and a force measuring module. The force measuring module is configured for measuring the positive pressing force between the first connecting member and the second connecting member, and generating a control signal to stop the first driving assembly and the second driving assembly when the positive pressing force between the first connecting member and the second connecting member reach the predetermined force.

    摘要: A substrate such as a heat shield for a vehicle is provided with a unitary compressed wire mesh bushing or isolator formed in place though a bore in the substrate. The bushing is formed by supporting an uncompressed or partially compressed wire mesh sleeve, optionally including a grommet or spacer, on a mandrel positioned within the bore; the mandrel is surrounded on either side of the bore by outer sleeves forming a molding cavity on each side of the substrate, and a slidable tamp is disposed in each outer sleeve and moved towards each other to compress the mesh within the bore and provide the unitary bushing.

    摘要: A frame assembly and method of making includes forming a series of pairs of aligned, inwardly extending markings in the form of detents or holes at selected positions in opposed track side walls preferably before forming the sheet metal into the U-shaped profile, providing aligned holes at selected positions in end portions of each stud, inserting the end portion of the stud inside a track so each marking is in an adjacent hole of the aligned pairs of holes and markings, and punching through the markings into each hole to form a hollow stem that draws the end of the stud into the track and the end of the stud against the top surface of the base wall of the track, brings the centers of the holes and markings in alignment to positively fasten each stud to each track. A further step may include flaring or flattening the open end of the stem to a selected angle to form a rivet head.
