摘要: A gear-shifting device is disclosed. The device comprises a first motor having a first rotor. The first rotor turns clockwise and counter-clockwise, creating a wobbling action. The device further comprises a compound planetary transmission, comprising a transmission ring attached to a ring gear. The compound planetary transmission receives power from the first rotor. The device further comprises a second motor having a second rotor. The second rotor turns clockwise and counter-clockwise. The device further comprises a shift assembly, comprising a drum, a cap, and a pinion gear. The pinion gear receives power from the second rotor. The drum locks with the pinion gear such that the drum rotates with the pinion gear. The transmission ring is attached to the drum, such that the transmission ring moves laterally as the drum rotates. The ring gear locks and unlocks with the cap as the drum rotates. The wobbling action enables the locking.

摘要: An electric drive apparatus includes a controller for controlling an electric motor and a continuously-variable transmission connected with the motor. The controller controls the motor and the continuously-variable transmission in a first control mode to control the transmission ratio of the continuously-variable transmission to a predetermined fixed ratio so as to hold the transmission ratio at the fixed ratio, and to control the motor to achieve the demand motor torque when a demand motor operation point determined from a predetermined assumed ratio is within a predetermined operation range, and to control the motor and the continuously-variable transmission in a second control mode to vary the transmission ratio and to control the motor to achieve a desired driving torque for a driven member driven by the motor when the demand motor operation point is not within the predetermined operation range.

摘要: The invention is concerned with a continuously variable transmission incorporating a variator of the type having at least two co-axial races (D1-D4) between which drive is transferred at a continuously variable variator ratio. The variator races are mounted for rotation about a variator shaft (16). The transmission has a layshaft (18) which is laterally separated from the variator shaft. It has two epicyclic gears. A splitter epicyclic (14) has an input member driven from the transmission input (10) and two output members arranged respectively to drive the layshaft and the variator shaft. A recirculater epicyclic has first and second input members for coupling respectively to the variator shaft and to the layshaft and a recirculater output member. An arrangement of clutches is provided for selectively engaging any of at least three regimes. In one regime the recirculater output member drives the transmission output. In another the layshaft drives the transmission output. In a third, the variator shaft drives the transmission output. The arrangement of the components is such that the variator shaft is co-axial with the transmission output, the recirculater epicyclic, a first coupling, between the recirculater output member and the transmission output, which serves to drive the transmission output in the first regime, and a second coupling, between the variator shaft and the transmission output, which serves to drive the transmission output in the third above-mentioned regime.

摘要: The invention relates to a mechanical gearing. This comprises a frame, a first shaft mounted rotatably on the frame and carrying a pair of friction wheels which are disposed at a distance from each other and which have mutually facing friction surfaces together converging outward, a second shaft which is mounted on the frame parallel to but eccentrically relative to the first shaft and which carries a friction wheel which has an internal annular friction surface situated axially between the friction wheels of the first shaft, and a closed belt of mutually abutting push links. The belt forms on mutually opposite sides surfaces co-acting with the pair of friction wheels and on a radially outermost surface forms a surface co-acting with the single belt engaging wheel.

摘要: A stepless speed change device has an input shaft and an output shaft. The device inlcudes a planetary carrier proviced at an inner end of the input shaft, a sun gear provided at an inner end of the output shaft to be in mesh with planet gears carried on the planetary carrier, and an internal gear in mesh with the planet gears to form a planetary gear. The device further includes a driven rotor rotatable about the input shaft and in the form of a hollow cylinder having flanges at both ends and concentrically connected to the internal gear, a driving rotor enclosing the driven rotor and including two members connected to the input shaft on both sides of the driven rotor, and an intermediate friction transmission ring whose eccentricity is adjustable and interposed between the flanges of the driven rotor and between the two members of the driving rotor for transmitting rotating power therebetween.
