摘要: A quantity of ink is dosed in an inking system of a printing machine, which inking system is provided with at least one dosing device that can be used to modify the quantity of ink which is transferred by the inking system. The dosing device can be adjusted by the use of an adjusting element to modify the quantity of ink that is to be transferred. A modification of the quantity of ink is defined by an adjustment of the adjusting element. The dosing device is adjusted in accordance with a pre-determined correlation between the amount of the adjustment of the adjusting device and the current state of the dosing device. The adjustment of the dosing device is carried out in accordance with the correlation in such a way that a relation between the modification of the quantity of ink caused by the adjustment of the dosing device, and the ink quantity transferred by the dosing device remains essentially constant.

摘要: A method and system are provided for establishing a reference position of ink-metering elements relative to a duct roller of a printing machine. The reference position is established by moving the ink-metering element toward the duct roller while acoustically sensing for contact. When a noise level indicative of the ink-metering element being in contact with the roller is detected, the reference, or zero position is established. At that precise moment, a representative value which varies with the distance between the element and the roller is stored as the zero position.

摘要: Method of ink control in a printing press, includes optically measuring fields on sheets printed by the printing press, comparing an actual ink location for each measuring field, which is attained with the aid of the scanning, with a specified setpoint ink location and controlling inking elements of the printing press so as to reduce deviations in inking. The method further includes calculating film thickness/densities of printing inks required for attaining the setpoint ink location by using the actual ink location and the setpoint ink location; adjusting the inking elements of the printing press in accordance with the calculated film thicknesses/densities, when the setpoint ink location or an ink location within a specified tolerance range about the setpoint ink location is attained, indicating the non-attainment of the setpoint ink location or of the tolerance range about the setpoint ink location, and making a manual input before adjusting the inking elements and subsequently producing a printed sheet and/or further computing film thicknesses/densities.

摘要: An exact setting of an ink supply at a doctor blade of a printing press, in particular an offset printing press, is performed with special set screws, which are positioned in appropriate through-bores directed to sections of the doctor blade. It is possible to make exact, fine adjustments with two-piece set screws having a duct-adjusting screw and a set bolt which have threads with different leads. Each set screw has a counter so that these adjustments can be made without loss of time and paper.

摘要: A system and a method for making fountain adjustments in a printing press. A press control panel has a plurality of key pairs for bidirectionally controlling associated fountain adjusters, and the system provides for zonal adjustment by defining zones which include a plurality of fountain adjusters and simultaneously adjusting all of the adjusters in a defined zone. A zone definition begins by detection of simultaneous actuation of both keys in a pair, and a zone is defined by actuation of a further key, the zone encompassing all adjusters lying between the actuated key pair and the further key. After definition of a zone, all of the adjusters in a zone are controlled by operation of one or two keys in the zone. Flexibility is provided to adjust all adjusters in the same direction and by the same amount, or to interpolate adjustments between adjusters.

摘要: To transfer ink from an ink trough (2, 3) to an ink receiving roller (1), the ink is transferred in the form of axially adjacent rings or circumferential strips of ink. The rings or strips of ink are generated by placing two superposed plates (4, 5), each having front edges (A, B) with recesses or notches (16, 18) therein, the ink flowing through the notches. The width of the ink strips is controlled by axially shifting one of the plates (5) with respect to the other (4) by engagement of the shiftable plates with an eccenter (11-14). The transferred circumferential strips or rings are then milled in the standard milling roller arrangement of printing machine inkers.

摘要: A printing press, in particular an offset printing press comprising a plurality of individually operable setting motors, in particular for adjusting the inkfilm density profile, each setting motor being connected to a pick-up generating electric signals characteristic of the actual position of the setting motor at any given moment (actual values) comprises an electronic comparator arrangement (35, 44) which is supplied with the actual values and, in addition, desired values for the position of the individual setting motors (9) and which repeatedly scans the actual values sequentially in a cyclical time sequence and compares each actual value with the related desired value to form a setting signal for operation of the associated setting motor in the forward or reverse direction when a given positive or negative minimum deviation is exceeded. The setting signals are fed to a switching arrangement (52) designed to cause the respective setting motor to be stopped or driven at a pre-determined speed in the sense of rotation determined by the last setting signal until the next signal is received. Thus it is rendered possible to easily control a plurality of setting motors.
