摘要： A fitting for vehicle seats, particularly motor vehicle seats, includes an adjustable fitting component connected to the back rest of the seat and a stationary fitting component at the seat portion, wherein the stationary fitting component is mounted at its front end so as to be pivotable about an axle pin rigidly connected to the seat portion, and wherein the rear end portion of the stationary fitting component rests on a stop pin rigidly attached to the seat portion. In the locked position of the stationary fitting component, the stop pin is surrounded by the jaw of a catch hook mounted on the stationary fitting component, wherein the locked position is releasably secured by a locking device. The locking device includes an eccentric tensioning member which supports the catch hook in the locked position and is supported on a pin of the stationary fitting component, and a gear plate which is mounted on the eccentric tensioning member and surrounds the pin with an oblong hole. The gear plate has a control cam which over portions thereof interacts with a support pin of the stationary fitting component and to which is hinged a pull member which acts in a releasing direction against the force of a retaining spring. The eccentric tensioning member has a locking projection which faces the catch hook. In the open position of the catch hook, the locking projection engages in a recess provided on the catch hook and, in this position, the locking projection is held by a retaining spring extending between the gear plate acting on the eccentric tensioning member and the catch hook. The catch hook has an actuating projection protruding beyond the jaw of the catch hook for releasing the open position when making contact with the stop pin rigidly connected to the seat portion during the backward swinging movement of the back rest.

摘要： A positioning device includes a mounting frame mounted to an underside of a chair seat. The mounting frame includes a positioning portion having a plurality of vertically spaced engaging notches. An adjusting base is mounted to the mounting frame and yet allows relative pivotal motion therebetween. 摘要： A lawn chair includes a backrest frame and two arm support frames provided at two opposite sides of the backrest frame. Each of the arm support frames has an armrest portion and a positioning member secured to the armrest portion and formed with a first longitudinal slot therethrough. A slide plate is sleeved slidably on the positioning member and has a second longitudinal slot unit of predetermined shaped formed therethrough. A positioning bolt extends through the first slot of the positioning member and the second slot unit of the slide plate and is threaded to the backrest frame. A protective sleeve member is sleeved over the armrest portion and is connected securely to the slide plate in such a manner that the protective sleeve member is movable together with the slide plate and that the protective sleeve member encloses the entire length of the positioning member therein. Thus, hands or clothes of the user are prevented from extending into the first longitudinal slot of the positioning member so as to prevent jamming between the positioning member and the slide plate.

摘要： A mechanism for adjusting the angular position of the seat back relative to the chair seat on an office chair. A chair back support member attached to the seat back has a curved lower end. A chair seat support member attached to the chair seat has a curved rear end adapted to receive the curved lower end of the chair back support member. A first curved gear segment member having a plurality of closely spaced teeth is secured to the rear of the curved lower end of the chair back support member. A second curved gear segment member having a plurality of closely spaced teeth is retained within a spring loaded housing attached to the curved rear end of the chair seat support member. A lever which contacts the second curved gear segment member moves the teeth of the second curved segment member in or out of engagement with the teeth of the first curved segment member allowing the user to angularly adjust the chair back relative to the chair seat and to lock it into the selected angular position.

Either a single continuous rib or a plurality of rib segments are formed on the outer surface of the first portion for gripping the inner surface of the bore. Either one or both of the pivot members has a second portion which provides a thrust bearing between the two joined parts. The two pivot members are coupled to each other by a bearing which allows each member to rotate independent of the other and a releasable lock mechanism which, when engaged, prohibits lateral separation of the two pivot members and, when disengaged, permits separation of the two members to allow separation of the parts.
