Abstract:
A reduced water consumption flush toilet for a motor vehicle includes a bowl assembly, a waste ball valve assembly and a water valve assembly. The bowl assembly defines a bowl and a discharge opening at a lower end of the bowl. The waste ball valve assembly is mounted to the flush toilet for selectively opening and closing the discharge opening of the bowl assembly. The water valve assembly delivers a source of flush water to the bowl. The water valve assembly includes a water valve operable in a water valve open condition and a water valve closed condition. The flush toilet further includes a common actuator for controlling both the waste ball valve assembly and the water valve assembly. The common actuator is movable from a first position to an intermediate position and from the intermediate position to a second position such that in the first position the waste ball valve assembly closes the discharge opening and the water valve assembly is in the closed condition, in the intermediate position the waste ball valve assembly closes the discharge opening and the water valve assembly is in the open position for adding water to the bowl, and in the second position the waste ball valve assembly opens the discharge opening and the water valve assembly is in the open position for flushing the bowl.
Abstract:
A mechanism for managing the wastewater compartments of recreational vehicles (RVs) is disclosed. The mechanism reduces work and health risk associated with emptying wastewater compartments commonly found in RVs.
Abstract:
Inventive disclosures made herein comprise various embodiments of a vehicle emergency toilet system having portions built into the seat of the vehicle. The toilet equipped vehicle seats having a toilet with a disposable waste receiving reservoir built into a seat portion thereof together with deployable privacy shades build into the vehicle seat back, vehicle roof or rear deck. The emergency toilet may be built into any flying mode of transportation like a helicopter, a jet plane, a military helicopter, a submarine (any submersible modes of transportation), an automobile, an ambulance, a stakeout police car or a detective car, a surveillance car, a taxi, among others.
Abstract:
The Recreational Vehicle Exhaust Fan I have invented makes camping more enjoyable and safer. It removes 100% waste odors and harmful gasses. I have never seen anything like it in use or for sale anywhere. Before my fan, campers just had to suffer with the problem.
Abstract:
A filter for a vehicular sewage system that includes an elongated body having a plurality of longitudinal vanes and slots. The body is made from a material able to support the growth of biological agents. The slots sized to resist the passage of particles larger than about 0.04 inches. The filters are structured for use with a vehicular sewage system having a treatment tank divided into an upper chamber and a lower chamber by a membrane. The membrane has a plurality of filter openings in which the filters are disposed. The filters allow fluid waste and solid particles smaller than about 0.04 inch flow into the lower chamber. Larger particles of solid waste are exposed to air in the upper chamber thereby allowing aerobic biological agents to process the solid waste. In use, the filter allows the liquid portion of wastewater to pass from an upper chamber of the treatment tank into a lower chamber. The solid waste particles are then consumed by an aerobic bacteria in the upper chamber.
Abstract:
A portable kitchen, toilet and shower unit includes a sink bowl (6), a sink tap (8) for the sink bowl, a work top (10), at least one cupboard (12,16) positioned beneath the sink bowl and the work top, at least one water container (18,20) in the cupboard, a portable chemical toilet, first conduit device (22) connecting the water container to the sink tap, a shower hose (24), shower head (26) and a stored shower enclosure (40) to attach to a rear door (46) of the vehicle, second conduit device (28) connecting the water container to the shower hose, and an electrically-operated pump (32) for pumping water from the container to the sink tap and the shower hose.
Abstract:
A vehicle seat with removable toilet including a seat portion having an upper portion and a lower portion formed together to provide a seat. The lower portion has a pair of supports to raise the lower portion away from ground level. The lower portion has a central aperture formed therethrough. The lower portion has a seat cushion removably secured thereto. The seat cushion has a recessed lower surface disposed over the central aperture when in a closed configuration. A removable toilet is dimensioned for receipt within the central aperture of the lower portion of the seat portion. The open upper end has a rim portion extending around a peripheral edge thereof.
Abstract:
A toilet system comprising a toilet including a flushing device and a toilet bowl, further comprising a faecal tank for receiving sewage from the toilet, the faecal tank including a separating device for separating liquid and solid components of the sewage, and the liquid components being withdrawable as grey water from the separating device through a first outlet, and further comprising a hygienization tank receiving the grey water separated off in the faecal tank through a grey water inlet and including a device for hygienizing the grey water which is then withdrawable as hygienized grey water from a second outlet is proposed. Owing to the toilet system comprising a recirculating device with a recirculating pump and a return pipe, with the recirculating device connecting the second outlet with the grey water side of the hygienization tank, and the recirculating device being connected to the flushing device and, as required, supplying the flushing device with amounts of the hygienized grey water as flushing liquid, the toilet system makes do with considerably reduced amounts of fresh water.
Abstract:
A vacuum toilet system comprises a toilet bowl having an outlet opening, a sewer pipe having an interior space, a discharge valve connecting the outlet opening of the toilet bowl to the sewer pipe, and a source of partial vacuum for establishing a lower pressure in the interior space of the sewer pipe than in the toilet bowl. A nozzle defines a rinse liquid outlet for introducing liquid into the toilet bowl. A container for reagent is in communication with the rinse liquid outlet. Reagent is introduced into the toilet bowl by way of the rinse liquid outlet in timed relationship to introduction of rinse liquid into the toilet bowl.
Abstract:
A waste management system for handling both solid and human waste consisting of a trailer with a hitch arrangement for connection to a towing vehicle. The trailer preferably includes tandem axles that support a trailer frame whereto a trash collecting bin is pivotally mounted, with that bin to tilt so as to dump rearwardly. The pivoting trash bin is maintained in an upright attitude to receive trash through a top thereof, and will gravity dump, when released, and further includes a linkage that is operated to move a friction wheel into engagement with one of the trailer wheels for turning a take-up drum. The take-up drum, when turned, to reel in a cable that is passed through a take-up pulley is secured between the trash bin, and the trailer frame. By operating the linkage, trailer forward travel will provide for pivoting the trash bin back to an upright attitude. The invention also includes one or a pair of chemical toilets that are releasably maintained onto the trailer bed, forward of the pivoting trash bin. The chemical toilets are essentially conventional except that are arranged to gravity drain through a common line. A railing is provided around the trailer nose end that is open above a folding step for use by a person climbing the trailer bed.
