Abstract:
A toilet having a tank including a bottom with an outlet; a pedestal having a bowl and a ledge, an inlet and three holes around the inlet are disposed in the ledge; a valve having a threaded valve body extending through the outlet to the inlet; a mounting bracket having a generally triangular base and three mounting locations disposed around an opening in the base with one mounting location proximate each corner of the base, each mounting location includes an offset mounting surface; a valve nut threaded to the valve body to hold the mounting bracket between the bottom and the valve nut; a flexible gasket disposed around the valve nut between the mounting bracket and the pedestal; and three fasteners disposed externally to the tank, each fastener extending through one mounting location and one hole in the ledge to secure the mounting bracket to the pedestal.
Abstract:
A rimless toilet pan (20) includes a forward end (F), a rearward end (R) and a pan bowl (28). A flushing outlet (32) is in fluid communication with the pan bowl (28). A flushing water inlet (30) is in fluid communication with the pan bowl (28). An inwardly facing first sidewall (34) extends substantially around the top of the pan bowl (28). A substantially horizontal ledge extends (36) substantially around the bottom of the first sidewall (34). An inwardly facing second sidewall (37) extends substantially around the pan bowl (28) under the horizontal ledge (36). A flushing water flow splitter (38) is substantially adjacent a rearward end of the first sidewall (34), the flow splitter (38) is in fluid communication with the flushing water inlet (30) and has a leftwards outlet (38a) and a rightwards outlet (38b). A flushing water flow balancer (40) is on a frontwards part of the first sidewall (34), the flow balancer (40) including an inwardly facing projection (40a, 40b, 40c) extending vertically through at least part of the height of the first sidewall (34) and being positioned substantially symmetrically in relation to a forward to rearward centreline of the toilet pan (20). The flow balancer (40) includes leftward (40a) and rightward (40b) angled surfaces which meet at an innermost edge (40c) that is substantially aligned with the forward to rearward centreline of the toilet pan (20). The leftward (40a) and rightward (40b) angled surfaces are substantially triangular in shape and taper from a relatively wide lower part to a narrowed or pointed upper part.
Abstract:
A toilet that includes a tank having a bottom and an outlet; a bowl having an inlet and three holes; a valve fluidly connecting the outlet and the inlet, the valve comprising a threaded valve body extending through the outlet; a rigid mounting bracket located adjacent to the bottom and comprising an aperture, which receives the valve body, and three openings spaced apart around the aperture in a triangular arrangement; a valve nut threaded to the valve body to clamp the mounting bracket between the valve nut and the bottom; a flexible gasket for sealing the valve body and the inlet, wherein the gasket contacts the valve body and the valve nut; and three fasteners, each fastener engaging one of the three openings and one of the three holes, wherein each fastener is located external to the tank and does not pass through the bottom of the tank.
Abstract:
Kits and methods for installing a toilet bowl or assembly without tools are described. The methods and assembly work with an existing flange or can include a standard closet flange configured to receive a flange bolt. The kits and assemblies include a flange bolt wherein the bolt head is configured so as to fit through an opening in a flange so that the bolt head contacts the lower surface of the flange and the end portion of the bolt stem extends upwardly; and a bolt locking knob, wherein the interior surface of the knob is configured so that when the end of the bolt stem is placed within the knob, it contacts the bolt stem in locking engagement and the knob can be hand tightened. The bolts size is coordinated with the size of the locking knobs to eliminate the use of tools on installation.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a western-style flush toilet in which the performance of a component which constitutes a function device is not damaged, and simultaneously, the cleaning performance of a western-style toilet body can be surely improved. The western-style flush toilet includes a western-style toilet body, and a part washing device which is mounted at the rear portion of the western-style toilet body. The part washing device is capable of moving upward in such a manner that at least the rear of a bowl face of the western-style toilet body is exposed. A conceal member for concealing the component or the space which maybe possibly exposed when the part washing device moves upward is mounted.
