摘要： A sound motion picture camera having a monitor circuit for applying to an earphone an audio signal which is being recorded on the film is capable of warning of the exhaustion of the film through the earphone. A switch responsive to a mechanism for detecting the exhaustion of the film applies a signal from an oscillator to the earphone or actuates an oscillator connected to the earphone, to provide the warning when the film has been nearly exhausted or has been completely exhausted. A switching device periodically interrupts the oscillating electric signal so that a warning sound can be heard intermittently through the earphone. A delay circuit interrupts the actuation of the oscillator to cease the oscillating electric signal when a predetermined time has passed after the detection of the exhaustion of the film.

摘要： An apparatus for monitoring the length of a continuous strip of material, such as film, is disclosed. The apparatus includes an alternating current actuated supply motor which drives a rotatable shaft which retains and dispenses a roll of the strip. A capstan drive system receives the dispensed portion of the film from the shaft and a capstan drive shaft incrementally moves the film a predetermined length in steps. An alternating current actuated take-up motor drives a take-up member to take up the film from the capstan drive system. The output from two pairs of sensors operatively connected to the capstan drive system, a signal indicating the incremental movement of the film and the sinusoidal actuating signals are fed into an electronic circuit for monitoring the length of the film remaining on the shaft after a particular rotation and the length of the film on the take-up member.

摘要： An apparatus for indicating the end portion of a tape in a tape recorder is approaching includes a voltage comparator which compares the actual voltage of an internally housed battery against a reference voltage of a value which assures a proper operation of the tape recorder. An AND circuit is provided to receive outputs from the voltage comparator and a detector which detects that a tape winding operation has proceeded to an end thereof, and an illuminating or luminescent display is connected with the output of the AND circuit to provide an illumination only when the battery voltage is not less than the reference voltage and the tape is normally running.

摘要： A motor drive for a camera has a motor drive system which comprises a motor, a circuit for driving the motor including two switches, means for blocking film transportation in a rewinding direction, a first manually operable member connected to the rewind blocking means and movable between first and second positions, and a second manually operable member for engagement with a supply spool and connected to the motor and movable between first and second positions. One of the two switches in the circuit may be opened and closed in response to movement of the first operable member to its first and second positions, respectively. In the second position of the first operable member, the rewind blocking means is rendered ineffective. The other switch is opened and closed in response to movement of the second operable member to its first and second positions, respectively. In its second position, the second operable member is engageable with the supply spool so that the spool may be rotated by the drive from the motor to take up the film thereon.

摘要： In a film feed device using a film having two perforations per frame, a perforation width and a perforation interval which are detected by one perforation sensor during a film feed operation are measured as times by timers in a microcomputer or as film moving amounts by a perforation detection circuit. When the time or the film moving amount measured as this perforation interval is less than the value obtained by multiplying the perforation width by a predetermined value, the film feed operation is stopped by a motor driving circuit and a motor. With this operation, even if the film position deviates from a predetermined position at the start of a film feed operation, the film can be accurately aligned with a correct position by using one perforation sensor.

摘要： A reloadable film canister includes a light-tight enclosure with an aperture for dispensing film therethrough. A spool of film may be loaded into the enclosure, and may be removed when the film is dispensed. In one embodiment of the invention, an encoder (field modulating) disk is included as part of the canister. In another embodiment the encoder disk is affixable to the film spool and loadable with the film spool into the canister. The spool is mountable in the enclosure for rotation therein and for dispensing, at each step of a stepper motor, a predetermined length of film corresponding to the motor's step size. The encoder disk has a plurality of uniformly-spaced, peripherally-arranged segments (elements) detectable by an external detector (sensor), the detector and the stepper motor operating under control of a microprocessor. Upon rotation of the spool and dispensation of film, the disk provides information, via the detector, to the microprocessor enabling the microprocessor to determine, from the number of motor steps and number of segments detected during rotation, the diameter of the film roll and the length of undispensed film remaining in the canister.
