摘要： A novel bag tag comprises an elongated strip of material formed from a facestock and heavily bonded to a tear resistant liner. Some, but not all of the liner is removable on our end of the strip so that the two ends of the strip can be adhesively joined together for attaching the tag to a piece of luggage. The non-removable portion of liner remains in place to prevent tearing of the tag on the end bearing the adhesive layer.

摘要： A web of sheet material has a plurality of longitudinal rows of indicia patterns printed on a front face thereon, with the indicia patterns all aligned on the web in common readability orientation. On its back face, the web has a plurality of longitudinally disposed patterns of repositionable pressure sensitive adhesive thereon, with the adhesive patterns being oriented in registration with the rows of indicia patterns. Longitudinal severing of the web thus results in a plurality of identical web strips. Lateral severing of the web strips results in a plurality of identical note sheets, each note sheet bearing one of the indicia patterns on its front face and a pattern of repositionable pressure sensitive adhesive on its back face. The note sheets are applied in registration to an advertising piece to create a promotional assembly. In this process, unique intermediate rolls of the web and web strips are developed. The web strips are provided in linerless form, or may be carried on a liner sheet for further processing and application to an advertising piece.

The length of the tag can be readily adjusted without the need for extraneous tools such as scissors or the like. The mounting portion of the tag is provided with a series of longitudinally spaced mounting apertures with alternating fold and tear lines spaced midway between adjacent apertures whereby the mounting portion may be folded onto itself to align adjacent apertures, transversely tom, or even transversely tom and then folded on itself to provide the tag with different effective lengths.

摘要： The device comprises a sheet of paper or card, having a slit formed therein. The slit makes an inverted U-shape, having left and right leg portions, and a cross-bar. The slit divides the sheet into a front panel, on which a greetings message can be written or printed, and a fixing-loop, which slips over the neck of the bottle. The vertical length of the legs of the slit is shorter than the width between the legs, whereby the device comes to rest on the bottle, with the neck of the bottle touching the inside of the front panel and the back of the fixing-loop. The bottle does not touch the legs of the slit. An envelope for the device is also disclosed.

摘要： A tax stamp perforator and notcher applies a diagonal line of spaced apart perforations on a tax stamp for subsequent application to a cigarette pack. The stamp is glued or otherwise applied to the cigarette pack normally across the back of the pack and one of the sides thereof. When the cigarette pack is opened the tax stamp is torn along the line of perforations. In order to facilitate rapid application of tax stamps to a production line of cigarette packs, notches in the form of lines of increased densification are applied to each stamp in the area where the stamp is bent around the side of the cigarette pack. These lines of increased densification are arranged parallel to the edge of the cigarette pack, and preferably one of the lines lies along the edge of the cigarette pack to thereby reduce the ability of the tax stamp to spring back away from the pack when glued to the pack. This feature enables the stamps to be applied to the packs at high production rates.
