In certain embodiments, a set of additional questions associated with the selected answer may be generated dynamically for use in estimating liability for the accident.

In an embodiment, claim data may be accessed for one or more claims relating to a vehicle accident from a first database on a computer system. In some embodiments, the claim data may be accessed if the claim data is not stored on a second database. In other embodiments, the accessed claim data may be stored on a second database on the computer system. The second database may be associated with a method and system for estimating liability in the vehicle accident. In further embodiments, the stored claim data for one or more of the claims may be accessed on the second database for use by the method and system for estimating liability in the vehicle accident.

摘要： A method and system for the selective identification and execution of a specific processing task for one or more records contained in the one or more Financial Service Organization (FSO) data sets. An FSO computer user may configure a smart trigger table by defining a scheduled date, an identifier for a data set and an associated processing task. The FSO user may schedule a task to be executed at a periodic interval to process entries in the smart trigger table. If conditions have been met to process the smart trigger table then each row in the smart trigger table, which have been specifically identified to need processing, may be processed by only executing the associated processing task specified in the smart trigger table record. After processing the smart trigger table record the scheduled date entry may be reset to indicate its completion.

摘要： A method and system for externalization of rules for assessing bodily injury general damages. An insurance company may use an expert system to develop a knowledge base in the form of business rules to process insurance claims. The business rules may be executed to assist an insurance claims adjuster in assessing bodily injury general damages. The task of creation and maintenance of the business rules, used in the assessment of claims, may be automated by the externalization of rules. The user may create a rules data table, which includes data necessary to transform it to business rules, based on a rule syntax structure specified in the template table. The transformation method orchestrates the combining of the data from the rules data table and the rule syntax structure specified in the template table and line text table. The new business rule may be saved as text in an insurance database. Changing the data stored in the rules data table and using the transformation method may accomplish updating and/or customizing the business rules.

A method may include providing a document to a computer system. In some embodiments, the method may further include obtaining information on writing in an information field of the document. In certain embodiments, the obtained written information in the information field and written information in at least one other information field may be compared to at least one writing profile representation. The writing profile representation may be obtained from at least one other document. In one embodiment, at least one of the writing profile representations may include written information from the information field and written information from at least one of the other information fields obtained from at least one of the other documents. In some embodiments, the comparisons may be used to verify the obtained written information.

A method may include providing one or more documents to a computer system. In one embodiment, handwriting profile representations may be determined for information fields of the document. The determination may use handwriting from at least one of the information fields of the documents. In some embodiments, handwriting profile representations may be updated from one or more additional documents. In certain embodiments, a document may be provided to a computer system for assessment. Assessment may include comparing handwriting in the information fields of the document to handwriting profile representations from information fields of at least one other document. In an embodiment, the method may include assessing fraud in the document using at least one of the comparisons.

An insurance company may use an expert system to develop a knowledge base in the form of business rules and formulas to process insurance claims. The business rules may execute the formulas to assist an insurance claims adjuster in assessing bodily injury general damages. The task of creation and maintenance of the formulas, used in calculating a trauma severity value, may be automated by the externalization of formulas. The user may create a formula data table and use a translator program to create a static instance of a formula class of objects for each row in the formula data table. The business rules may invoke the calculate method to execute the formulas. Changing the data stored in the formula data table and using the translator program to create a static instance of a formulas class of objects for each row, may accomplish updating and/or customizing the formulas.

User defined key definitions may include providing a user interface for the selection of one or more data elements to be used as key elements in the key definition. The user interface may also allow the specification of a sequence in which the key elements will appear in the key definition.
