Abstract:
A mass production polisher includes a polisher base, a polishing element, a rotary arm, a fixture, a force-cushioning means and a force-applying means. The polishing element is provided in the polisher base. The rotary arm is rotatably provided on the polisher base. The fixture is connected to the rotary arm for holding at least one object. The force-cushioning means is provided on the rotary arm. The force-applying means is also provided on the rotary arm for applying force through the force-cushioning means to the fixture so that the object pushes against the polishing element.
Abstract:
An optical fiber adapter according to the present disclosure includes a main body and an elastic shutter member. The main body has an accommodation room defined by a first wall, a second wall, a third wall and a fourth wall, wherein the first wall faces the third wall and connects with the second and fourth walls. An indentation is formed outside the accommodation room and on the third wall. The shutter member includes a fixing portion positioned within the accommodation room and on the third wall, a shutter plate, a connecting portion connecting the fixing portion with the shutter plate, and a hooking portion extending from the connecting portion to hook on to the indentation on the third wall. The shutter plate extends from the connecting portion and into the accommodation room.

Abstract:
The present invention generally relates to a method for manufacturing a one-piece LC type optical fiber adapter, more particularly to a method that is simpler and easier to assemble the LC type optical fiber adapter.
Abstract:
An MPO type optical fiber adapter according to the present invention is provided. The main body of the MPO type adapter is unitary thereby avoiding the prior art problem that the stresses cause the two halves of the adapter to separate from each other after time.
Abstract:
An optical fiber adapter according to the present invention includes a main body, an inner housing and a cover plate. The main body has an axial cavity defined by a first wall, a second wall, a third wall and a fourth wall, wherein the first wall faces the third wall and connects with the second and fourth walls. The axial cavity has two opposing axial openings and is configured to receive the inner housing. An access opening is arranged on the first wall for the inner housing to place within the axial cavity. A plurality of protruding portions is positioned on the second and fourth walls, respectively, wherein each the protruding portion has an indentation formed thereon and facing the access opening. The cover plate is configured to cover the access opening on the first wall of the main body, wherein the cover plate has a plurality of protrusions formed thereon and positioning corresponding to the indentations on the protruding portions of the main body. When the protrusions on the cover plate are melted and the cover plate is brought to cover the access opening, the molten protrusions will bond with the protruding portions of the main body.
Abstract:
An optical fiber connector and adapter according to the present invention are provided. At least one indentation is formed on the connector and a protrusion mating with the indentation is formed within the adapter thereby physically limiting the insertion of a connector into a particular adapter.

Abstract:
A boot for an optical fiber connector according to the present invention is provided. The boot includes a hollow cylindrical body and a protrusion portion integrally formed on the hollow cylindrical body. In addition, a member with the property of plasticity is axially embedded in the protrusion portion so that the boot has the property of plasticity.
Abstract:
A device for producing apodized gratings on a stationary optical fiber. The device includes a slit-generating means, a stationary phase mask and a stationary writing-beam-generating means. A slit is generated by the slit-generating means. A writing beam is generated by the stationary writing-beam-generating means to pass through the slit and the stationary phase mask and then focus on the stationary optical fiber for a plurality of exposure time periods. The slit is adjustable in width so that the slit has a plurality of widths during the plurality of exposure time periods, respectively.
