摘要: In certain embodiments, a method for quantitative alignment of business offerings with the expectations of a business prospect includes accessing a novelty indicator for an offering, the novelty indicator being based on one or more characteristics of the offering and rating an innovation level of the offering. The method further includes accessing an innovation perception indicator for a prospect of the offering, the innovation perception indicator providing an indication of how the prospect views innovation. The method further includes comparing the novelty indicator for the offering with the innovation perception indicator for the prospect to determine if the offering is aligned with the expectations of the prospect. In certain embodiments, the method includes generating a recommendation, possibly in the form of a report, based on the comparison of the novelty indicator for the offering and the innovation perception indicator for the prospect.

摘要: Systems, and associated apparatus, methods, or computer program products, may use ontologies to provide improved word recognition. The ontologies may be applied in word recognition processes to resolve ambiguities in language elements (e.g., words) where the values of some of the characters in the language elements are uncertain. Implementations of the method may use an ontology to resolve ambiguities in an input string of characters, for example. In some implementations, the input string may be received from a language conversion source such as, for example, an optical character recognition (OCR) device that generates a string of characters in electronic form from visible character images, or a voice recognition (VR) device that generates a string of characters in electronic form from speech input. Some implementations may process the generated character strings by using an ontology in combination with syntactic and/or grammatical analysis engines to further improve word recognition accuracy.

摘要: A remote detection and reporting of fluid properties device. A float has a sensor array for detecting at least one property of a fluid and transmitting the fluid properties. The float has at least one side arm and at least one lower arm for detection of fluid properties, where the lower arm has a ballast and a gas bladder for orienting and stabilizing the float. The float, the side arms, and the lower arm are made of a thermally conductive plastic and coated with a thermochromic compound optimized for visually reporting the temperature of a fluid via change in color.
In a different embodiment of the float has an electronic sensor array detects multiple properties of a fluid. The float has an electronic transmitter, a battery, and a wire harness, and floats in a fluid. The device transmits the fluid properties to a remote receiver.

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention disclose a system and method for virtual replication a mobile phone device. According to one example embodiment, a user of the mobile device registers with a virtual host server configured to communicate with a telecommunication service provider. A communication identifier associated with the mobile device is transferred to the virtual host server. Furthermore, user phone data collected by the virtual host server from a virtual mobile phone application running on the mobile phone device. In addition, telephonic communication and date access functionality afforded by the mobile phone is capable of being replicated on an auxiliary computing device using the communication identifier and personal data generated by the virtual host server.

摘要: A system and method are presented for the comparative analysis of textual documents. In an exemplary embodiment of the present invention the method includes accessing two or more documents, performing a linguistic analysis on each document, outputting a quantified representation of a semantic content of each document, and comparing the quantified representations using a defined metric. In exemplary embodiments of the present invention such a metric can measure relative semantic closeness or distance of two documents. In exemplary embodiments of the present invention the semantic content of a document can be expressed as a semantic vector. The format of a semantic vector is flexible, and in exemplary embodiments of the present invention it and any metric used to operate on it can be adapted and optimized to the type and/or domain of documents being analyzed and the goals of the comparison.

摘要: A method and system are presented for accessing existing software. The method includes maintaining a library of software profiles, creating a new software profile to be searched against the library, searching the library to locate profiles similar to the new software profile, and identifying existing software associated with such similar profiles. An exemplary system embodiment of the present invention includes a library of software profiles and associated software, a search engine or process, an interface which accepts user formulated desired software profiles and outputs software located in the search. In operation, a search engine finds software profiles similar to a user formulated desired software profile and the interface outputs software associated with such similar software profiles. In preferred exemplary embodiments, searching the library is accomplished via Case-Based Reasoning, where a similarity score between software profiles is a function of “matching” and “non-matching” weights for profile field values, and also accounts for “synonymal matching weights” which are managed by a synonyms table.

摘要: A method, system, and computer program product for measuring and assessing an organization's business adaptability is provided. In one embodiment, a taxonomy comprising a hierarchical list of taxonomy indicators that captures organizational elements that can be used to measure an organization's responsiveness to change is created. The taxonomy indicators are industry specific. A set of weights associated with the elements of the taxonomy, indicating a relevant contribution of each element to an overall adaptability of an organization, is assigned. The set of weights are industry specific. An enterprise profile is created assigning a level of adaptability to each taxonomy indicator indicating where, in a range of scores from low to high, an enterprise rates relative to the relevant taxonomy indicator. An adaptability result of the organization from the weights, taxonomy, and enterprise profile is then calculated. The adaptability result provides a quantitative assessment of the organization's adaptability.

摘要: A method of providing community networking services in an organization creates a graph which has a plurality of people nodes representing persons in the organization and a plurality of content nodes representing content objects authored by the persons. The nodes are connected by edges, which include author edges linking the content objects to the persons and similarity edges each linking two content objects and having a similarity value indicative of a conceptual similarity between said two content objects. The graph is analyzed to compute a relevance value between a focus node and a query node in the graph.
