摘要： There is described a paper sheet conveyance apparatus, which makes it possible to surely separate the overlapping paper sheets from each other irrespective of a kind of paper. The apparatus includes: a thickness detecting section to detect a thickness of a paper sheet, currently conveyed in the conveyance path; a first suction device to adsorb the conveyance paper sheet currently passing through the first suction device; a second suction device to adsorb the overlap paper sheet currently passing through the second suction device; an overlapping conveyance path that is branched from the conveyance path; and a control section that activates the first suction device and the second suction device so as to separate the conveyance paper sheet from the overlap paper sheet, and to introduce the conveyance paper sheet and the overlap paper sheet into the conveyance path and the overlapping conveyance path, respectively.

摘要： A protein which inhibits osteoclast differentiation and/or maturation and a method for producing the protein. The protein is produced by human embryonic lung fibroblasts and has a molecular weight of about 60 kD and about 120 kD under non-reducing conditions and about 60 kD under reducing conditions on SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. The protein can be isolated and purified from the culture medium of fibroblasts. Furthermore, the protein can be produced by gene engineering. The present invention includes cDNA for producing the protein by gene engineering, antibodies having specific affinity for the protein or a method for determining protein concentration using these antibodies.

摘要： A lid for use with a plate-shaped base to seal an electronic device such as a SAW device includes a top portion, a wall structure extending from the top portion, and a lip connected to the lower end of the wall structure. The lip extends outwards from an outer surface of the wall structure by 10–500 μm and has solder on an inner surface thereof. The lid can be soldered to a plate-shaped base to form a package. The lid can be conveniently formed by performing drawing of a metal strip coated with solder to define a recessed shape, and then severing a flange of the recessed shape to define the lip.

摘要： A method of diagnosing metabolic bone diseases, especially osteoporosis and arthrosis characterized by determining the concentration of osteoclastgenesis inhibitory factor (OCIF) in humor. Monoclonal antibodies recognizing equally both of monomer type and dimer type of OCIF. Monoclonal antibodies recognizing selectively dimer type of OCIF. And to provide an assay kit for determination of OCIF concentration comprising the aforementioned two antibodies recognizing different epitope of OCIF and having high affinity showing dissociation constant of less than 2×10−7 M with antigen. It is useful for a method of diagnosing metabolic bone diseases, especially osteoporosis and arthrosis or for an assay reagent for research thereof.
