    Abstract: Managing organization disconnections from a shared resource of a communication platform is described. In a sharing approval repository of a communication platform, a shared resource can be associated with a host organization identifier and a non-host organization identifier. In an example, in response to receiving, from a user computing device associated with the host organization identifier or the non-host organization identifier, a resource disconnection request comprising a disconnecting organization identifier and a resource identifier associated with the shared resource, the sharing approval repository can be updated to add a disconnection indication for the resource identifier in association with the disconnecting organization identifier. The disconnection indication can restrict access, of users of a disconnected organization, to data associated with the shared resource that is stored in a live shared resource repository and can cause a static shared resource to be presented based on a selection input corresponding to the shared resource.

    Abstract: Secure peer-to-peer connection network and/or protocols for a group-based communication system are described. In an example, a peer-to-peer connection request associated with a first identifier for a first client device and a second identifier for a second client device can be received. The first identifier and the second identifier can be compared to a group-based communication system validation registry associated with the group-based communication system and, based at least in part on a determination that the peer-to-peer connection request is authorized per the group-based communication system validation registry, a peer-to-peer connection between the second client device and the first client device can be established.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods, systems, apparatuses, and computer program products for managing one or more group-based communications and/or one or more group-based communication channels to cause rendering of a group-based communication interface. In some embodiments, a group-based communication system causes rendering of a group-based communication interface including a focus interface component, which may be used to receive a user focus selection input. The group-based communication system generates a focus value and identifies a focus threshold. The group-based communication causes rendering of the group-based communication interface based on whether the focus value satisfies the identified focus threshold. Embodiments further provide methods, systems, apparatuses, and computer program products for managing one or more user communications to cause rendering of a user communication interface. Some embodiments herein are configured to interfaces including a focus interface component enabling dynamic adjustment of focus thresholds/focus modes associated with a group-based communication interface.

    Abstract: Integrating applications into a communication system via steps of workflows is described. In an example, the communication system can receive a request to integrate a functionality of an application into the communication system via an application extension. The functionality can be associated with a step to be integrated in a workflow. Responsive to receiving the request, the communication system can cause an input user interface to be presented via the computing device, wherein the input user interface is configured to receive application extension data. Based at least in part on associating the application extension data with a trigger event identifier, the communication system can store an indication of the step in a repository and cause a selectable user interface element associated with the step to be presented via a group-based communication interface. Selection of the selectable user interface element can cause the step to be included in the workflow.
