    摘要: The present invention provides for microporous ceramic materials having a surface area in excess of 70 m.sup.2 /gm and an open microporous cell structure wherein the micropores have a mean width of less than 20 Angstroms and wherein said microporous structure comprises a volume of greater than about 0.03 cm.sup.3 /gm of the ceramic. The invention also provides for a preceramic composite intermediate composition comprising a mixture of a ceramic precursor and finely divided silicon carbide or silicon nitride, whose pyrolysis product in inert atmosphere or in an ammonia atmosphere at temperatures of up to less than about 1100.degree. C. gives rise to the microporous ceramics of the invention. Also provided is a process for the preparation of the microporous ceramics of the invention involving pyrolysis of the ceramic intermediate under controlled conditions of heating up to temperatures of less than 1100.degree. C. to form a microporous ceramic product.

    摘要: An edge card interconnection system provides enhanced electrical interconnection between a module and a circuit board. Electrical contact length is minimized and deflection of the contacts is controlled as the system is configured to eliminate the need for the contacts to absorb module thickness tolerances. A latching mechanism is easily manipulated and provides significant protection to modules being installed/extracted. A hold-down mechanism facilitates enhanced engagement of the connector with the printed circuit board. An insulative connector portion includes a back-up spring that pushes an inserted module against a set of contacts. Deflection of the contacts is controlled by a wall of the connector portion that prohibits the module from deflecting the contacts beyond a preset amount. The back-up spring absorbs any tolerance(s) in board thickness. A module latch and protection mechanism includes latch arms for engagement with a connector body, the latch arms have tabs disposed thereon upon which manual forces are exerted to release the latch arms from the associated connector body latch mating portion. A connector hold-down mechanism is provided which snaps onto ends of the insulative connector housing and is soldered into a plated through-hole, to fasten the edge card interconnection system to a printed circuit board. The connector hold-down mechanism may have compliant protuberances which engage the plated through-holes in the printed circuit board to guarantee contact to the barrel of the plated through-hole and ensure proper solder attachment thereto.

    摘要: Electromagnetic tracking systems and methods for correcting hemispherical ambiguity are described. The system may include a single transmitter having three coils arranged in an industry-standard coil arrangement (ISCA). The tracking system may also contain a receiver having three coils arranged in an ISCA configuration, as well as a fourth coil having a different orientation then any of the other three coils of the receiver. The fourth coil may be used to determine the correct solution to the hemispherical ambiguity that can occur when tracking using two three-coil assemblies. Other embodiments are described.

The first member has a first gripper integral at an end thereof The first member has an internal longitudinal groove in communication with a plurality of internal spaced locking grooves. The second member has a second gripper attached at a first end. The second member has a projection at a second end. The projection of the second member is received by the longitudinal groove. The second member is moveable with respect to the first member between a fully contracted position and a plurality of extended positions. In one of the plurality of extended positions, the protrusion is selectively received in one of the plurality of locking grooves to lock the members in one of the plurality of extended positions.

    摘要: A method of parsing a natural language phrase to retrieve data associated with a power monitoring system. An input receives a natural language phrase including terms, one of which indicates a data manipulation action for manipulating data of the power monitoring system. A parser component parses the phrase to extract the terms and maps those terms to corresponding category items. The parser component constructs a structured query based on the category items and provides the query to a processor component that retrieves the data from a data source specified in the submitted phrase. The processor component also manipulates the data according to the data manipulation action. The output from the processor component is provided to a presentation component that formats the manipulated data for presentation on a video display, and the formatted manipulated data is displayed on the video display.
