Abstract:
An electronic device with a touch-sensitive display displays an electronic calendar and detects a hand-drawn input on the touch-sensitive display. The hand-drawn input extends over a vertical portion, less than all, of an area corresponding to a first day in the calendar. In response to detecting the hand-drawn input, the device displays, over the vertical portion of the first day, one or more graphics that correspond to the hand-drawn input. While displaying the graphics, the device detects an input that corresponds to a request to create an event in the electronic calendar. In response, the device creates, in the first day in the electronic calendar, an event with a start time and an end time, wherein the start time and the end time of the event are in accordance with the first day that the hand drawn input extends over.
Abstract:
An electronic device displays a home screen and detects a first input on a first application launch icon; in response to detecting the first input, replaces the home screen with a first user interface; while displaying the first user interface, detects a second input by a second contact that includes movement across the display in a first direction; and in response to detecting the second input: if the second input meets dock-display criteria (e.g., includes movement of the second contact that is above a first movement threshold), displays a user interface object overlaid on a portion of the first user interface; and in accordance with a determination that the second input meets home-display criteria (e.g., includes movement of the second contact that is above a second movement threshold that is greater than the first movement threshold), replaces display of the first user interface with display of the home screen.
Abstract:
An electronic device with a touch-sensitive display and one or more sensors to detect signals from a stylus associated with the device: while the electronic device is in a locked state: displays a lock screen user interface on the touch-sensitive display; while displaying the lock screen user interface, detects a first input from the stylus to draw on the touch-sensitive display; in response to detecting the first input, displays, over the lock screen user interface, one or more marks of a drawing that correspond to the first input; while displaying, on the lock screen user interface, the one or more marks of the drawing: detects a second input from the stylus to display a drawing application in a restricted mode; and, in response to detecting the second input, executes the drawing application in the restricted mode and displays the one or more marks of the drawing in the drawing application.
Abstract:
An electronic device with a touch-sensitive display and one or more sensors to detect signals from a stylus associated with the device: detects a positional state of the stylus, the positional state of the stylus corresponding to a distance, a tilt, and/or an orientation of the stylus relative to the touch-sensitive display; determines a location on the touch-sensitive display that corresponds to the detected positional state of the stylus; displays, in accordance with the positional state of the stylus, an indication on the touch-sensitive display of the determined location prior to the stylus touching the touch-sensitive display; detects a change in the distance, the tilt, and/or the orientation of the stylus, prior to the stylus touching the touch-sensitive display; and in response to detecting the change, updates the displayed indication on the touch-sensitive display.
Abstract:
Some embodiments provide a media editing application for generating and editing shadows. The media editing application provides a set of editing tools for creating a composite presentation from first and second media clips, and a preview display area for displaying a preview of the composite presentation. In some embodiments, the media editing application provides a shadow generation tool for generating a shadow for the second media clip and displaying the shadow in the preview display area. The shadow is composited with the first and second media clips to create the composite presentation. The shadow projection tool of some embodiments includes a set of on-image controls for display in the preview display area near the second media clip. The set of on-image controls can be moved on the preview display to modify a set of attributes of the shadow.
