    摘要: A vacuum bag media and associated method of production, which includes a first layer that includes an expanded polytetrafluoroethylene membrane and at least one second layer that includes a first component having a first melting point and a second component having a second melting point that is higher than the first melting point, wherein the first layer is attached to the at least one second layer. The second layer can include cellulose material, spunbond, nonwoven fabric, and a thermal bond, nonwoven fabric. Attachment of the first layer of material to the at least one second layer of material can occur through thermobonding, e.g., heated gas, infrared heat and heated calender rolls. The application of adhesives and the use of ultrasonic energy can also bond the layers together. Approximately five percent (5%) to fifty percent (50%) of the first component can be selectively melted for superior airflow. Fibers with sheath and core portions may be utilized for the first component and the second component, respectively.

    摘要: An enhanced filtration multilayer laminated fabric includes an air permeable, moisture-vapor-transmissive central layer such as polytetra-fluoroethylene (ePTFE) sandwiched between a first pair of nonwoven textile layers and a second pair of woven textile layers. The laminated fabric may also feature a fire resistant application. The top textile layer may also include a permanent, highly breathable and highly durable electro-static discharge feature added to the inside of the layer by laying down a carbon based printed pattern on the inside of the layer. The filtration fabric may be utilized to manufacture a wearable garment that is aesthetically pleasing and comfortable to wear in all weather conditions and which effectively filters airborne particulates from entering a user's respiratory system by blocking particulates having a size of 0.3 microns and larger from inhaled air for a user's respiratory system with a particle blocking efficiency of at least 90%.

    摘要: A filter cartridge comprises a pleat pack including filtration media for removing particulates from a particulate laden fluid stream moving in a first direction through the filtration media. The pleat pack is formed into a tubular configuration with a plurality of circumferentially spaced pleats. The filtration media is periodically subject to a cleaning fluid stream moving in a second direction opposite to the first direction. Potting material is at axially opposite end portions of the pleat pack to maintain the filtration media in the tubular configuration. A support tube is located on a first side of the pleat pack downstream of the filtration media in the first direction of fluid flow. A retention device limits movement of a portion of the filtration media when subjected to the periodic cleaning fluid stream. The retention device comprises a metal band and located on a second side of the filtration media opposite the first side. A rod is disposed in the potting material of at least one of the axial end portions of the pleat pack. The rod is fixed to the metal band to maintain the metal band in an axial position along the filtration media.
