    摘要: An automatic transmission includes a first rotating element provided by coupling a sun gear of a second planetary gear set and a carrier of a third planetary gear set to each other, a second rotating element provided by coupling a carrier of the second planetary gear set and a ring gear of the third planetary gear set to each other, a third rotating element provided by a ring gear of the second planetary gear set, and a fourth rotating element provided by a sun gear of the third planetary gear set. The first rotating element and the second rotating element are coupled to a case by first and second brakes, the fourth and first rotating elements are coupled to a ring gear of a first planetary gear set via first and second clutches, the second and first rotating elements are coupled to an input shaft via third and fourth clutches, and the third rotating element is integrally coupled to an output gear, so that the automatic transmission can provide eight forward gear stages by changing a combination of two of the clutches and brakes which are engaged to each other.

    摘要: The transmission is constructed with a first ring gear and a third ring gear that are firmly connected. A second ring gear and a third carrier are also firmly connected. A second sun gear and a third sun gear are also firmly connected. An input shaft is connectable to a first carrier via a first clutch. The input shaft is connectable to a first sun gear via a second clutch. A third clutch is disposed between the first carrier and a second ring gear. The first carrier is connectable to the second ring gear and the third carrier via the third clutch. A first brake is provided between the first sun gear and a transmission case. A second brake is provided between the transmission case and the first ring gear as well as the third ring gear. A third brake and a one-way clutch are provided in parallel between the first carrier and the transmission case. A fourth brake is provided between the transmission case and the second sun gear as well as the third sun gear.

In the two sets of planetary gear units in which the ratios of the tooth numbers of the sun gears to the tooth numbers of the ring gears are different from each other, the ring gears are identical to each other in the tooth number, the normal module, the normal pressure angle, the angle of torsion, the pitch radius, the base radius, the bottom diameter, the top diameter, the tooth height, the dedendum, the addendum, the lead, the coefficient of normal shift and the arcuate tooth thickness, and the pinions of those two sets of planetary gear units are identical to each other in at least the arcuate tooth thickness, the coefficient of normal shift, the dedendum, the addendum, the tooth height, the angle of torsion, the normal pressure angle and the normal module.

    摘要: A shift control system for an automatic transmission, comprising a shift unit for selecting by manipulating a shift lever an automatic shift mode, in which a gear stage is determined on the basis of a running state of a vehicle, and a manual shift mode in which a gear state is determined from an output signal based on the manipulation. The shift unit has a drive range capable of setting a plurality of forward gear stages and a plurality of range positions arrayed and includes: a first shift path for guiding the shift lever into the range positions; a second shift path intersecting the first shift path for guiding the shift lever; two third shift paths formed at the two end portions of the second shift path, the third shift paths having at their individual end portions gear stage positions for indicating the forward gear stages in the automatic shift mode and for guiding the shift lever; and a manual shift instructor for outputting a signal instructing a gear stage corresponding to the gear stage position when the shift lever is moved to the gear stage position. The shift control system comprises a gear stage setter for setting the gear stage which is instructed by the output signal of the manual shift instructor.

    摘要: A shift control system controls an automatic transmission of a vehicle wherein half-lock-up control for a lock-up clutch is executed when the running state of the vehicle is in a predetermined operative range. The shift control system includes a half-lock-up control inhibiting unit for inhibiting the half-lock-up control from being executed when the running state of the vehicle is held in a specific operative state even though the running state of the vehicle is in the predetermined range, a determining unit for determining whether or not the half-lock-up control is inhibited by the half-lock-up control inhibiting means, and a controlling unit for controlling the automatic transmission such that a low speed stage at which the half-lock-up control is easily executed is positively utilized when it is determined that the half-lock-up control is not inhibited by the determining unit, and moreover, controlling shift change of the automatic transmission such that a high speed stage having a gear ratio lower than that at the lower speed stage is positively utilized when it is determined that the half-lock-up control is inhibited by the determining unit.
