    Abstract: A dropper post assembly can include an outer tube and an inner tube with a lower end that is within the outer tube and include a tube engagement. A spring cartridge assembly can include: a cartridge tube providing a cylinder; a piston movably received within the cylinder to provide a first chamber a lower side of the piston and a second chamber between the piston; a cartridge rod; and a second engagement member configured to releasably engage the tube engagement member thereby fastening the cartridge tube to the lower end of the inner tube so that the cartridge tube is axially fixed to the inner tube and movable with the inner tube relative to the outer tube.

    Abstract: A dropper post assembly for supporting a bicycle seat may include an outer tube extending along a post axis and an inner tube configured to be axially slidable within the outer tube by a travel distance that is at least 200 mm between a retracted and an extended position. The inner tube may have an outer diameter that is between 25.5 mm and 30 mm, and when the inner tube is in the extended position a moment of inertia (lx) taken adjacent the seat collar is at least 11,000 mm4. A spring cartridge may have an unlocked configuration in which the spring cartridge exerts an extension force (FE) on the inner tube that biases the inner tube toward the extended position, and a locked configuration in which the spring cartridge is operable to generate a degassing force (FD) of between about 90 lbs and about 140 lbs to resist movement of the inner tube toward the retracted configuration. An actuator may be operable to change the spring cartridge between the locked configuration and the unlocked configuration.

    Abstract: There is described a bicycle seat post assembly in which the travel distance of the seat post can be adjusted. The seat post assembly includes an outer tube that is configured to telescopically receive an inner tube. The inner tube is axially slidable relative to the outer tube between a retracted position and an extension position, the extension position being determined by an extension assembly in which a slider engages an upper retainer surface, thereby setting the upper limit of axial extension of the inner tube. The extension of the inner tube can be limited to an intermediary extension position that lies between the retracted and extension positions by an insertable extension stopper that is positionable under the upper retainer surface.

    Abstract: A seat attaching may include a lower seat clamp that is moveable relative to a post head member about a pivot axis and includes: a mounting portion having a bearing surface configured to engage a corresponding cradle portion of the post head member a first channel configured to receive a first seat rail of a bicycle seat and a second channel configured to receive a second seat rail of a bicycle seat. An upper seat clamp may include: a central portion overlying the mounting portion; a first extension portion disposed on a first side of the central portion and having a first retainer surface overlying and facing the first channel to retain the first seat rail within the first channel and having a first apex; and a second extension portion disposed on a second side of the central portion and having a second retainer surface overlying and facing the second channel to retain the second seat rail within the second channel and having a second apex. An upper plane may contain both the first apex and second apex and may be substantially parallel to the pivot axis. The upper plane may be offset below the pivot axis and intersecting the bearing surface. A first fastener may be used to secure the upper seat clamp to the post head member.
