Abstract:
A system, apparatus, and method for automatically configuring application terminals in a home network are provided. The method includes the following steps: the application terminal obtains address information of the GACS from the home gateway and sends a configuration request message to the GACS, the GACS obtains address information of a terminal automatic configuration server (TACS) through query after receiving the configuration request message and sends the address information of the TACS to the application terminal through a configuration response message, and the application terminal sends the configuration request message to the TACS according to the returned address information of the TACS from the GACS to obtain configuration information from the TACS for automatic configuration. The provided system, apparatus, and method may ensure that the application terminal securely obtains the address information of the TACS and thus obtains the configuration, without increasing the complexity of the application terminal.
Abstract:
A method and a system for selecting Quality of Service (QoS) policy, the method including: setting QoS policy processing information in a QPH; receiving, by a QoS Manager (QM), a QoS request from a CP, selecting a QPH to provide QoS policy for a traffic stream according to the processing information of each QPH in a home network, and providing QoS policy to the traffic stream according to the QoS policy of the selected QPH. Through the method and the system of the present invention, the problem that only the QoS policy of the QPH specified by the CP or the default QoS policy can be used as the QoS policy of the traffic stream when multiple QPHs exist in the home network is solved.
Abstract:
A remote loading system for network equipment is provided, which includes a loading server configured to send a loading command and an equipment prepared for loading connected to the loading server through a network. The loading server sends a command for validating a loaded content to the equipment prepared for loading, and the equipment prepared for loading performs an operation of validating the loaded content according to the command for validating the loaded content. A corresponding remote loading method for network equipment is also provided. A control on validating the loaded content is achieved through the command for validating a loaded content. Moreover, a way of validating the loaded content immediately and a way of validating the loaded content through a specific program are respectively adopted to realize the loading of an unconditionally resetting equipment and a conditionally resetting equipment.

A terminal device, a method and an apparatus for configuring the terminal device are disclosed. The method includes: receiving a message sent by a service provider device, where the message includes configuration information about a terminal device; setting up a wireless connection to the terminal device by using a Wireless Fidelity (WiFi) technology; and transmitting the configuration information about a terminal device to the terminal device through the wireless connection. The present invention brings the following benefits: receive a message that includes configuration information about a terminal device, and transmit the configuration information to the terminal device according to the message; therefore, the problem of insecurity and complexity involved in the provisioning for configuring the terminal device is resolved, and the configuration information for the terminal device is provisioned securely and simply.
Abstract:
A device, a system, and a method for automatically configuring application terminals in a home network are disclosed. The method is as follows. A home gateway receives identifier information of an application terminal sent by the application terminal through a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP). The identifier information of the application terminal is sent to a public network through a DHCP message, so as to determine a DHCP server corresponding to an automatic configuration server (ACS) of the application terminal. Address information of the ACS of the application terminal is obtained from the DHCP server on the public network through a DHCP message. The address information is transmitted to the application terminal, so that the application terminal obtains configuration information from the ACS according to the address information to perform an auto-configuration. Thus, a problem that the application terminal in a home network cannot directly obtain an ACS Universal Resource Locator (URL) through a DHCP message is solved, so that an auto-configuration of the application terminal is realized.
