The integrated optical pickup includes a light source; a main photo-detector, which receives light emitted from the light source and reflected from an optical information storage medium; a light-collecting and optical path separating member, which focuses light emitted from the light source on the optical information storage medium and separates an optical path of light incident on the optical information storage medium from an optical path of light reflected from the optical information storage medium; and an optical bench, which is coupled to the light-collecting and optical path separating member, an optical path being formed between the light source and the main photo-detector, and the light-collecting and optical path separating member, and the optical bench and the light-collecting and optical path separating member being respectively formed on a wafer and then obtained by being separated into a plurality of assemblies.

    摘要: A hybrid achromatic optical lens having a high numerical aperture whose chromatic aberration is removed and a method for manufacturing the same are provided. The hybrid achromatic optical lens includes a first optical member of a low index of refraction and a second optical member of a high index of refraction. The second optical member is formed on a depressed portion of the first optical member and has a diffractive surface, which is a contact surface of the second optical member with the first optical member and has a plurality of pitches formed on a refractive surface. The method for manufacturing the hybrid achromatic optical lens includes forming a profile of a diffractive surface having a plurality of pitches on a molding die whose one surface is the same as a profile of a refractive surface, forming a depression having the diffractive surface on a first optical member having a low index of refraction using the molding die, and coating a material having a high index of refraction on the depression, grinding a surface of material, and forming a second optical member having a high index of refraction.

The objective lens system includes a diffractive optical element, and a half-ball lens disposed between the diffractive optical element and the medium, the half-ball lens having a spherical surface on a side facing the diffractive optical element, and an aspheric membrane formed on the spherical surface of the half-ball lens. The aspheric membrane comprises a plastic material or an ultraviolet-cured resin. The optical pickup apparatus includes a light source, an optical path converter disposed between the light source and an information storage medium, the above-described objective lens system disposed between the optical path converter and the information storage medium, and a photodetector which receives light reflected from the information storage medium and passed through the objective lens system and the optical path converter and which detects an information signal and an error signal.

The heat-assisted magnetic recording head includes a recording portion which produces magnetic field for recording information to a magnetic recording medium, and a waveguide which transmits light therethrough disposed to be adjacent to the recording portion and which emits the light toward the magnetic recording medium, wherein the waveguide comprises a light incident surface; a tapered portion having progressively narrower sections along the transmission direction of the light incident on the light incident surface and entering the waveguide; and a light-emitting surface which emits the light after the light is transmitted through the tapered portion.
