    摘要: A motor-current square value calculation section 45 calculates, as a motor-current square value, the sum of respective square values of two phase currents converted from three phase currents flowing through an electric motor. A temperature estimation calculation section 44 performs low-pass filtering for the motor-current square value, and calculates temperature increases of the mass portion and coils on the basis of the filtered motor-current square value. In the low-pass filtering, filtering calculation is performed in a manner which changes depending on rotational speed RV of the electric motor; i.e., whether the electric motor is in a rotating state or in a stopped state. The temperature increase of the mass portion is added to ambient temperature of the electric motor to thereby estimate temperature of the mass portion, and the temperature increase of the coils is added to the estimated temperature of the mass portion to thereby estimate temperature of the coils. Accordingly, the coil temperature of the electric motor can be accurately detected, and current flowing through the electric motor is properly controlled in accordance with the detected temperature.

    摘要: An electric power steering device controls an electric motor through a program processing based on a steering torque detected by a torque sensor and a vehicle speed detected by a vehicle speed sensor, and applies a suitable assisting force to rotational motion of a steering handle. Occurrence of an abnormality in the torque sensor and a power circuit is detected through the program processing. The torque sensor is activated upon receipt of a power-supply voltage from the power circuit and detects a steering torque. If a power-supply voltage outputted from the power circuit has dropped, detection of an abnormality in the torque sensor is forbidden. If a power-supply voltage supplied from a battery to the power circuit has dropped, detection of an abnormality in the power circuit is forbidden.

    摘要: A thread spreading apparatus for use in an overlock sewing machine capable of performing over-edge chain stitching and other stitching. The thread spreading apparatus uses a lower looper for over-edge chain stitching to allow a needle to surely drop into a triangle defined by a needle thread, a looper thread and the lower looper, thereby enabling multi-thread chain stitching and covering chain stitching to be performed without fail. The apparatus includes a thread spreading hook having hook portions with different heights for retaining needle threads and a projection formed on one of the hook portions. During stitching other than over-edge chain stitching, the hook portions of the thread spreading hook retain the needle threads when two needles drop, thereby allowing each needle to drop into a triangle defined by the looper thread, the lower looper and the corresponding needle thread. During over-edge chain stitching, the hook portions lie rearwardly of an idle chain stitch forming bore provided in a needle plate.

    摘要: In a power supply apparatus, a power supply circuit includes a primary power supply circuit including a high-voltage battery and a step-down circuit for stepping down the voltage of the high-voltage battery, and a secondary power supply circuit including a low-voltage battery and a step-up circuit for stepping up the voltage of the low-voltage battery. The primary power supply circuit and the secondary power supply circuit are connected in parallel. An output voltage of the secondary power supply circuit is set to be lower than an output voltage of the primary power supply circuit. When the output voltage of the primary power supply circuit becomes lower than a target voltage of the secondary power supply circuit, the voltage stepped-up by the step-up circuit is supplied to a motor drive circuit. Accordingly, power supply backup of an electric power steering apparatus can be performed at low cost.

    摘要: A steering assist apparatus for a vehicle includes an electric motor for steering assist. Rotation output of the electric motor is reduced in speed by a ball-screw mechanism and converted to rectilinear motion, which is transmitted to a rack bar. An electronic control unit determines a target current value in accordance with a steering torque detected by a steering torque sensor and a vehicle speed detected by a vehicle speed sensor. While using an actual current value of the electric motor detected by a current sensor as a feedback, the electronic control unit controls the current flowing through the electric motor to be equal to the target current value. The electronic control unit changes the feedback gain of the feedback control in accordance with a steering angle detected by a steering angle sensor, to thereby suppress abnormal noise generated at a steering mechanism, without deteriorating steering feel.

    摘要: The CPU calculates axial force matching external force that acts on a rack bar by combining steering torque MT that acts on a steering shaft with assist torque AT generated by an electric motor. The CPU then determines whether a vehicle is running straight based on a steering angle θ, a vehicle speed V, and the axial force F. Thus, even in a state where a control steering angle midpoint is deviated and a driver applies torque so as to return a turning position of a steering wheel to a neutral position, whether the vehicle is running straight can be accurately determined by making a determination by using the axial force F that acts on the rack bar. The CPU can set a considerably accurate control steering angle midpoint by calculating a smoothed steering angle midpoint by using an instantaneous steering angle midpoint in an accurately determined straight-running state.
