    摘要: An image heating device with a small thermal capacity that can be heated rapidly. The image heating device includes a fixing belt (20) having a heat resistance; a rotatable heat-generating roller (21), which is at least partially conductive and arranged in contact with an inner peripheral surface of the fixing belt (20); a fixing roller (22), the fixing roller and the heat-generating roller (21) movably suspending the fixing belt (20) therebetween; and a magnetization means (24) for heating the heat-generating roller (21) through magnetization, which is arranged outside the heat-generating roller (21). In this image heating device, the magnetization means (24) heats the heat-generating roller (21) through magnetization after a rotating operation of the heat-generating roller (21) is started.

    摘要: An image heating device having a predetermined amount of heat generation with a small electric current. The device has a heat-generating roller having magnetism and conductivity, and an exciting coil opposed to the peripheral face of the heat-generating roller and adapted for allowing the heat-generating roller to generate heat with electromagnetic induction. The exciting coil is composed of a bundle of copper wires extended in the direction of the rotation axis of the heat generating roller. The wires are circumferentially wound along the circumferential direction of the heat-generating roller. The bundled wires are arranged in close contact with each other in the circumferential direction of the heat-generating roller so as to cover the upper half of the heat-generating roller.

By pulling the oil leakage prevention film while the oil application roller remains installed in the holder, the oil application roller is rotated, and the oil leakage prevention film can be removed.     摘要: As a cooling mechanism that cools the entire paper passage area of a heat-producing belt, a rotational drive method of the heat-producing belt is employed and the heat-producing belt is cooled by rotational cooling by being made to idle when paper is not being passed through. An excitation apparatus and the above-described cooling mechanism are controlled so that recording paper is not passed through and the heat-producing belt is cooled while being heated over the heating width when the small-size recording paper is passed through until the temperature detected by a paper non-passage area temperature detecting sensor is at or below a predetermined fixing temperature. This fixing apparatus enables an excessive rise in temperature of a paper non-passage area of the heat-producing belt to be efficiently eliminated, and the temperature distribution of heat-producing belt to be made uniform in a short time.

    摘要: An image forming apparatus and a process cartridge capable of satisfying both a high quality image and an excellent maintenance property with a simple configuration. A photosensitive member and a charging roller that is a member rotating in contact with the photosensitive member are brought into contact with each other in the image forming process. When an image forming operation starts from a standstill, the charging roller is rotated before the photosensitive member starts to be rotated. Furthermore, before the photosensitive member stars to be rotated, a reversed bias voltage that is a voltage opposite to the bias voltage at usual development time is applied between the members rotating in contact with the photosensitive member and the photosensitive member. The time for which the charging roller is rotated before the photosensitive member starts to be rotated is set to be 0.01-2.0 seconds and is changed in accordance with the number of pages printed and is reduced each time the number of pages printed reaches a predetermined number.
