The first node is arranged to communicate over a communication channel with at least one user equipment within the cell. The communication is made by using a frame comprising uplink resources and downlink resources with a switching point between the downlink resources and the uplink resources. The method comprises the step of obtaining a parameter referring to the expected transmission quality of the communication and/or the expected coherence properties of the communication channel. The method also comprises scheduling a transmission on an uplink or downlink resource. The resource is located on a time distance from the switching point. The time distance is based on the obtained parameter.

    摘要: The presence of spread spectrum signals in a given frequency range is detected in a receiver by receiving a signal; determining for a measurement frequency an indication signal; and using it as an indication of the presence of spread spectrum signals having a carrier frequency equal to the measurement frequency. An in-phase signal and a quadrature signal are provided by mixing the received signal with an oscillator signal having the measurement frequency; at least one of these signals is phase shifted; a sum signal and a difference signal are generated; and the sum signal is multiplied by the difference signal and low pass filtered. In this way a method and a circuit of detecting the presence of spread spectrum signals in a given frequency range are provided, which are simple and fast enough to be used in low-cost cognitive radios.

The scanner device is repetitively activated and a hop channel is selected from the sequence of hop channels as a function of a present phase. A substitute hop channel is selected from the sequence of hop channels as the selected hop channel if the selected hop channel is a forbidden hop channel. The selected hop channel is monitored for receipt of a paging message during the present phase.

    摘要: An apparatus in a wideband radio transceiver for mitigating interference between a wideband radio operating in a wide frequency band and a narrowband radio operating in a narrow frequency band within the wide frequency band. The effects of transmissions by the wideband radio on the narrowband radio are reduced by creating by the wideband radio, a transmitter notch of decreased transmit power centered at a frequency in the wide frequency band that is fixed in relation to the wideband carrier frequency. The wideband carrier frequency is then adjusted so that the transmitter notch is aligned with the second radio's narrow frequency band. The effects of transmissions by the narrowband radio on the wideband radio are reduced by creating by the wideband radio, a fixed receiver notch of decreased receiver gain in the wideband receiver, and aligning the narrowband signal with the fixed receiver notch.

The dynamically changing values may include a clock value and/or a frame counter value. In this way, timing and/or frequency uncertainty may be eliminated when performing the operations in the first system.
