    摘要: An automotive seat assembly comprising a seat back frame, a headrest, and at least one post supporting the headrest on the seat back frame for vertical adjustment. The seatback frame has at least one opening for receiving the post. A tubular bushing is disposed in the opening of the seatback frame where the opening has a bore for receiving the post. The tubular bushing has a spring disposed in the bore, wherein the spring is used to adjust a clamping force on the post allowing vertical movement of the headrest.

A bracket member is mounted to the tubular upper cross member of the seat frame. The bracket member has a pair of fulcrum bushings integrally formed therein. The bracket member is attached to onto the tubular upper cross member by an interference fit. At least one support rod is sized to be received within each of the pair of fulcrum bushings. At least one head restraint post is sized to be received within the at least one support rod. An active head restraint is mounted to the at least one head restraint post.

The seat frame includes a frame track, a frame base slidably engaged to the frame track, and a frame back rotatably engaged to the frame base. A rear lateral support assembly includes a support frame attached to a rear portion of the frame base such that the support frame is movable in concert with the frame base. The support frame defines a pocket portion. A tubular member is positioned within the pocket portion. A rocker panel end cap assembly secures a first end of the tubular member within the pocket portion. The rocker panel end cap positioned to engage a rocker panel during side impact. A tunnel console end cap assembly secures a second end of the tubular member within the pocket portion. The tunnel console end cap assembly is positioned to engage a tunnel console such that the tubular member generates a rigid support between the rocker panel and the tunnel console.

This head restraint comprises a post of any shape inserted into a seatback, foam of a desired thickness, an insert sized to cover a majority of the surface area on the front face and top of said head restraint, and a trim cover. Alternatively, the head restraint may be of integral design without posts. The insert is meant to float within foam in the head restraint and one can use clips or locating pins during manufacturing to obtain desired floating effect.
