The glass has an R.sub.2 O--Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 --B.sub.2 O.sub.3 --SiO.sub.2 base composition, contains as additives, in percent by weight, 0.1-0.3% Ag, 0.25-1.0% Cl, 0-0.2% Br, 0.25-1.0% Cl+Br, the ratio of Ag:(Cl+Br) being 0.15-0.65, 0.003-0.015% CuO and 0.1-1.0% PbO and the total R.sub.2 O content is 8-13.5%, wherein R.sub.2 O consists of Li.sub.2 O+Na.sub.2 O +K.sub.2 O.

    摘要: This invention is directed to the production of transparent photochromic glasses containing silver halide crystals sensitized with copper having base compositions within the alkali metal aluminoborosilicate system wherein at least 0.025% As.sub.2 O.sub.3 and/or Sb.sub.2 O.sub.3 is present in the composition to insure that more than 50% of the copper is present in the Cu.sup.+ state. Where an oxidizing agent is added to the composition, the amount of As.sub.2 O.sub.3 and/or Sb.sub.2 O.sub.3 will be increased to reduce that agent plus insure that more than 50% of the copper is present in the Cu.sup.+ state.

    摘要: An enclosure for watthour meters includes a cover having an opening for connecting a meter data sending unit within the enclosure to an adjacent remote meter reading terminal unit. A cover locking rim has locking tabs for securing the cover to a meter base assembly so that the cover is rotatably positionable relative to the base. The rotated positions of the cover opening permit different orientations of a remote meter reading package at a fixed meter mounting position.
