摘要： A dishwasher includes a tub, a frame extending around the tub, and a door pivotally secured to the frame for movement between a vertical closed position and a horizontal open position. Hinges are provided on each side of the door to provide a door pivot axis, and are fixed to the frame of the dishwasher. The hinges are accurately positioned relative to the tub by providing at least one boss on each side of the tub, and a recess or hole in each hinge to receive the boss. The hinges are then secured to the frame with screws or by welding. Thus, the hinges are accurately aligned with one another at the proper location on the frame so as to provide proper sealing between the door and the tub when the door is in the closed position.

摘要： A clip is provided for mounting in a dishwasher rack to hold objects to be washed. The clip includes a base having opposite ends with an opening adjacent each end so that the clip can be mounted on at least a pair of rack tines. At least one resilient tab extends upwardly from the base and is adapted to retain a cup or other object in the rack. Mounting the clip on at least a pair of tines provides strength and stability for the clip.

摘要： A dishwasher tub and support assembly includes a base having a horizontal base support member with first and second spaced apart apertures being formed therein. A tub includes a pair of pedestal legs having a first and second pair of tabs extending downwardly therefrom. The tabs are positioned so as to register with the spaced apart first and second apertures of the base. The first pair of tabs is inserted into the first apertures of the base, and the tub is pivoted so that the second pair of tabs fit within the second apertures of the base. Both the first and second tabs hold the tub against vertical and horizontal movement relative to the base.

摘要： A control system for an appliance indicator light includes a timer which times the amount of time the appliance door is open after completion of the operational cycle of the appliance. If the door is opened for more than a predetermined period of time, the indicator light will be deactuated, but if the door is opened for less than the predetermined period of time and then reclosed, the indicator light will be left in its on condition. The timer may be a series of cams attached to a motor, a bi-metal switch located adjacent the indicator light, or a microprocessor connected to and driving the indicator light.
