    Abstract: A display device includes a display panel having first and second display areas. A data driver provides data and bias voltages to data lines. A timing controller controls the data driver and a scan driver based on at least two operation modes. The first mode drives the first and second display areas at a normal frequency, and the second mode drives the first display area at a first frequency substantially equal to or lower than the normal frequency and the second display area at a second frequency lower than the first frequency. The second mode includes an active frame to write a reference voltage to display a black image in the second display area, and blank frames to maintain the reference voltage and apply the bias voltage to the pixels in the second display area. The data driver varies the bias voltage in the blank frames.

    Abstract: An image display system includes a graphic processor which generates an image signal, a control signal, and a variable frequency signal; and a display device which displays an image at a frame frequency corresponding to the variable frequency signal from the graphic processor. The display device includes pixels connected to emission control lines, data lines, and scan lines; a controller which provides reference data including information on reference cycles, which are cycles in which an emission control start signal is output, to the graphic processor, outputs the emission control start signal based on the control signal, and adjusting an output timing of a scan start signal based on the variable frequency signal; an emission driver which supplies emission control signals to the emission control lines based on the emission control start signal; and a scan driver which supplies scan signals to the scan lines based on the scan start signal.

    Abstract: A display device includes: first and second dots arranged on a first horizontal line in a first direction, each of the first and second dots including first to fourth pixels; a switch unit configured to selectively couple first to fourth output lines respectively to the first to fourth pixels of each of the first and second dots, in response to a first control signal and a second control signal; and a data driver configured to supply data voltages to the first to fourth output lines in a time-sharing manner. The data driver may include: a data processor configured to generate data signals corresponding to the first to fourth output lines; and first to fourth digital-to-analog converters (DACs) configured to convert the data signals into the data voltages. Each of the first to fourth DACs may be supplied with a corresponding one of first to fourth gamma voltages.
