摘要： An image forming apparatus includes an obtaining unit, an image forming section, and a controller. The obtaining unit obtains color signals containing color components the number of which is n, n being a natural number. The image forming section forms an image on a medium, the image being based on the color signals obtained by the obtaining unit. The controller performs control so that colors in a color gamut that is not reproduced if area coverage modulation, not density modulation, is used for expression are included in the image by expressing densities of the n color components contained in the color signals obtained by the obtaining unit by using density modulation and area coverage modulation.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes an obtaining unit, an image forming section, and a controller. 摘要： A liquid crystal display device is capable of providing high-quality picture display by preventing luminance irregularity in a display screen due to the nonuniformity of a cell gap. The liquid crystal display device includes at least two or more kinds of color filters FIL formed over one of substrates, the color filters having different colors for displaying a color display, a black matrix interposed between each of the color filters, pixel-forming electrodes ITO2, an alignment control layer, a spacer SOC fixedly formed over at least one of the substrates with a height approximately equal to a desired gap between the substrates, and a bead interposed between the substrates and made of a resin material whose average grain size is slightly greater than the height of the spacer SOC.

摘要： A vehicle control device has first and second transmission circuits that communicate by radio with a portable unit and also has a control section that, when the portable unit is confirmed to be correct, engages in a permission mode that permits the start of an engine. The first and second transmission circuits transmit first and second request signals from first and second transmission antennas to first and second communicatable areas respectively. When a back door is detected to be open, the control section does not permit the start of the engine even if an ID code signal is returned from the portable unit in response to the second request signal.

摘要： A liquid crystal display device comprises a liquid crystal layer sandwiched between upper and lower electrode substrates subjected to aligning treatment. The liquid crystal layer includes a nematic liquid crystal added with a chiral material and has a 160.degree.-360.degree. twisted helical structure. A pair of polarizers are disposed adjacent to the electrode substrates with their polarization or absorption axes inclined by respective predetermined angles with respect to the aligning directions of the electrode substrates. At least one of the polarizers is formed by a color polarizer for compensating a wavelength dependence of transmittance (or the coloring due to birefringence) resulting from the anti-coincidence between the polarization or absorption axis of the polarizer and the aligning direction of the electrode substrate, i.e. an optical axis of liquid crystal molecules adjacent to the substrate, so that light emerging from the device becomes approximately achromatic or colorless.
