    摘要: In the electrochemical roughening of aluminum or its alloys useful for printing plate supports, an aqueous mixed electrolyte solution is employed, which contains nitric acid (HNO.sub.3) and, as a further inorganic electrolyte, at least one inorganic fluorine compound which is present in the form of an acid or an alkali metal salt (e.g., HF or NaF) and the anion of which contains fluorine and at least one further element (for example, SiF.sub.6.sup.2- or PO.sub.3 F.sup.2-). In particular, the solution contains from about 0.3 to 4% by weight of HNO.sub.3 and from about 0.05 to 5% by weight of the fluorine compound. The very uniformly roughened support materials are used in the production of offset printing plates.

    摘要: The plate-, foil- or strip-shape support materials for offset printing plates are based on chemically, mechanically and/or electromechanically roughened aluminum, or on one of its alloys. Optionally, the aluminum may also have an aluminum oxide layer produced by anodic oxidation. One of the two surfaces of the support material has a hydrophilic coating of at least one salt-type hydrophilic organic polymer which is a complex-type product obtained by reacting (a) a water-soluble organic polymer having carboxylate substituents, carboxylic acid amide substituents and/or carboxylic acid imide substituents as functional groups, with (b) a salt of an at least divalent metal cation, and wherein the quantity of complex-type reaction product is less than about 0.1 mg per dm.sup.2 of support material surface.In a process for manufacturing this support material, the complex-type reaction product, dissolved in an aqueous acid, is applied to at least one surface of the support material and the support material thus modified is dried. It is also possible, however, to produce the complex-type reaction product of the components (a) and (b) on the support material. The support material is used in the preparation of offset printing plates having a light-sensitive layer.

    摘要: The invention relates to a process for the production of a colored image for color proofing of copy masters for multicolor printing and a layer material for carrying out this process.A positive image of the exposure mask (color separation film) is produced by lamination of a photosensitive material onto a colored layer material, followed by imagewise exposure and peeling-off of a film support, or a negative image of the exposure mask is obtained by imagewise exposure of the photosensitive material before the lamination, accompanied by flood exposure after lamination followed by peeling-off of a film support. The two procedures use the same materials and do not require wet development. For each single-color image, only one lamination step is required.

    摘要: A process for the production of a color image is described, in which a photosensitive material that has a temporary support film, a colored photosensitive layer and an adhesion-promoting layer that can be activated by heat is laminated at high temperature and under pressure with an image-receiving material which carries, on a support, a pigment layer containing a white pigment. The photosensitive layer is exposed imagewise and developed to produce an image, the temporary support film is peeled off from the image-receiving material before or after exposure to light and, if required, these steps are repeated with at least one further photosensitive material whose colored layer has another color to produce a multi-colored image. The process gives color images having a smaller dot enlargement compared with a halftone original and is particularly suitable for the color testing of copy for multicolor printing.

    摘要: The invention relates to a positive-working radiation-sensitive mixture and a copying material produced therefrom on a layer support. The mixture contains as essential constituents a 1,2-quinone diazide or a combination of:1) a compound forming strong acid when exposed to actinic radiation and2) a compound containing at least one acid-cleavable C--O--C bond,and a binder with repeating units of the general formula I ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 denotes a hydrogen or halogen atom, or a cyanide or an alkyl group,R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4 are identical or different and denote hydrogen, or alkyl or aryl groups,R.sub.5, R.sub.6 and optionally R.sub.7 are identical or different and denote hydrogen or halogen atoms, or alkyl, aryl or alkoxy groups, andX denotes the atoms necessary to complete a mononuclear or polynuclear carbocyclic aromatic ring system, andn is 1, 2 or 3.The mixture according to the invention yields lithographic printing plates with a high print run which can be thermally post-cured and have good resistance to chemicals, also photoresists with high heat resistance.
