Abstract:
An adjustable arm gondola lighting system is provided. The adjustable arm gondola lighting system allows a user to illuminate retail merchandise located on a vertical wall by angularly and linearly adjusting the positioning of a light element of the adjustable arm gondola lighting system. The adjustable arm gondola lighting system may integrate a light shade which may include advertising by having printed graphics thereon. The light shade can be positioned around or within a light element to adjust the lighting characteristics of the adjustable arm gondola lighting system.
Abstract:
Discloses a method of making scanning hooks with a release agent on the label attachment tab. Stock is formed by laminating a plastic sheet which will provide the main carrier body of the overlay and a thin film which has a release agent strongly bonded to its outer surface. The film is bonded to the main plastic layer, such as by an adhesive. Overlay blanks are cut from the resulting laminate stock as by die cutting. The overlay blanks then are bent and mounted on scanning hooks, with the tab portion extending essentially vertically and presenting an outwardly exposed release surface which provides ready appliability, removability and replaceability of merchandising labels which bear information related to the products supported on the hanger.
Abstract:
A security system is provided that is comprised of an electronic article surveillance assembly (EAS), a cellular phone identification assembly communicatively coupled to the electronic surveillance assembly, a computer communicatively coupled to the assemblies. The assemblies define a security zone. Upon detection of a tagged item of retail merchandise by the EAS, the cellular phone identification assembly captures an at least one unique cellular phone identifier for storage within a storage device of the computer.
Abstract:
A merchandise tag and a method of controlling a merchandise tag are provided. The merchandise tag may be used to deter theft of retail products.
Abstract:
A signal receiver unit for retail systems is provided. The signal receiver unit may include a receiver, a processor, and an output transmitter, and may be configured to receive and process an alarm signal and to transmit an output signal in response. The output signal may be configured to be received by an output receiving device such that store personnel may be alerted to a possible theft.
Abstract:
A retail display clip is provided. The retail display clip includes a stationary clip base and a rotatable clip member that rotates about an axis of rotation. The rotatable clip member rotates relative to the clip base. The retail display clip includes an open state and a closed state. As the rotatable clip member rotates from the open to the closed or the closed to the open state, an over-center point is transitioned. The over-center point is created by the interaction between a locking tab of the rotatable clip member and a flat inner surface of the clip base. In the closed stated, a torque is created by the over-center point that causes the locking tab to place a force on the flat inner surface of the clip base. A gripping point is formed at the location where the locking tab places the force. The gripping point supports retail merchandise.
Abstract:
A signal emitting retail device is provided. The signal emitting retail device includes a sensor and an emitter. The emitter is configured to emit a signal when the sensor senses removal of merchandise from a merchandise display structure. The sensor is also configured to sense potential theft conditions. The emitter is configured to emit a signal indicative of potential theft conditions when such conditions are sensed by the sensor.
