Abstract:
A method of and a system for tracking radioactive sources includes at least one RFID tag attached to a radioactive source shield, the shield receiving a radioactive source at a base location, and a TRX-Gamma box for detecting identification information from the RFID tag and sensing a first gamma radiation count from the radioactive source shield. The identification information and the first gamma radiation count are stored and the shield with the radioactive source is transported to a job location where the radioactive source is removed from the shield. At the job location, a check is made that the radioactive source has been returned to the shield by comparing any newly detected identification information with the stored identification information, and by comparing a sensed second gamma radiation count with the first gamma radiation count.
Abstract:
A loader parking stand includes a support leg pivoted to a loader arm which is movable between an extended and a retracted position. A retaining latch can releasably secure or lock the stand in the extended position and the retaining latch can be unlocked or released to unlock the support leg by motion of or engagement with a movable portion of the loader.
Abstract:
A Call-To-Action Lockout on a mobile device coupled to a data network is disclosed as a method and apparatus comprising providing a media application configured to respond to a control point associated with media content, providing media content which has at least one associated control point, triggering at least one control point while experiencing the media content; and performing an appropriate Call To Action Script (CTAS) in response to the triggered control point.
Abstract:
A method of customizing a luggage item includes providing a plurality of size options of a luggage item to allow a customer to select a particular size for a luggage item to be built. A virtual model of the size option of the luggage item selected by the customer is displayed for inspection by the customer. A plurality of different color options for a plurality of functional components to be included on the luggage item are displayed for viewing and selection by the customer. The functional components in the color option selected by the customer are displayed on the virtual model. A plurality of different color and pattern options for a front panel, a back panel, and a pair of opposing side panels a displayed for viewing and selection by the customer. The front panel, the back panel, and the pair of opposing side panels in the color and pattern option selected by the customer are displayed on the virtual model. One all the sections are completed, the luggage item is built and delivered to the customer in accordance with said selected options.
Abstract:
A system and method for distributing coupon information in an electronic network includes an information service that is configured to provide information distribution services through said information distribution network. User devices are provided for device users to communicate with the information service for receiving the information distribution services. A transport structure communicates with network entities in the information distribution network for collecting appropriate types of metadata. A transport server then performs a metadata analysis procedure upon the various types of metadata to responsively generate the coupon information.
Abstract:
Techniques and systems for indexing and retrieving data and documents stored in a record-based database management system (RDBMS) utilize a search engine interface. Search-engine indices are created from tables in the RDBMS and data from the tables is used to create “documents” for each record. Queries that require data from multiple tables may be parsed into a primary query and a set of one or more secondary queries. Join mappings and documents are created for the necessary tables. Documents matching the query string are retrieved using the search-engine indices and join mappings.
Abstract:
In one embodiment, a method of controlling data translation between communities can include: receiving data from a first community in a second community, where the data has a tag associated therewith; searching a metadata dictionary in the second community for an entry corresponding to the tag; translating the received data to provide translated data using a community definition from the entry corresponding to the tag; and outputting the translated data to the second community.
Abstract:
Information is elicited from a consumer electronics device purchaser at the point of sale and used to provide targeted advertising to the purchaser and/or to facilitate service provision to the purchaser related to the CE device by a third party service provider and/or to provide the information to an entity for a fee such that the entity can provide targeted advertising to the purchaser to provide improved correlation of the purchaser with needed products or services.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a novel diagnostic radar data retrieval apparatus and method of using the same. One aspect of the present invention includes a portable unit that extracts and stores radar calibration data from radar specific hardware (via a 1553 communications bus) to a personal computer (PC) for diagnostic purposes. Another aspect of the present invention is a method wherein the calibration data stored in the RCCM device is downloaded to a computer, preferably a PC, with input and display software that receives the data from the RCCM device and processes the radar calibration data into tables for various types of analysis such as, but not limited to, troubleshooting purposes.
Abstract:
An apparatus for distributing a soap based release agent upon a surface comprising; a means for metering a controlled quantity of a liquid metallic soap into a pressurized water stream to form a pressurized aqueous solution having a controlled dilution ratio of soap to water, at least one manifold connected to receive the pressurized aqueous solution, and a plurality of nozzles mounted upon the manifold to uniformly distribute the pressurized liquid solution upon at least one surface. The surface may further be defined as a planar surface, moving unidirectional along a fixed path at a predetermined variable speed and defined by a surface area of length multiplied by width. The planar surface has a fixed width, wherein the surface area moving past a fixed point for a predetermined period of time is a function of the speed of the planar surface moving past the fixed point. At least one regulating means regulates the dilution ratio of the soap to water by controlling the quantity of the metallic soap metered into the pressurized water stream. This quantity of metallic soap is correlative with the speed of the planar surface, so as to maintain a relatively constant measure of metallic soap per unit of surface area as the speed of the planar surface is increased or decreased.
