摘要： A fuser allows a sheet medium on which a toner image has formed to path through while heating the sheet medium, thereby fusing the toner image on the sheet medium. A plurality of first rollers are arrayed in a first direction. A plurality of second rollers are arrayed in the first direction and respectively coming in contact with the first rollers with a first pressure. The second rollers are adapted to eject the sheet medium nipped between the first rollers and the second rollers to the outside of the apparatus in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. A plurality of third rollers are arrayed in the first direction so that each of the third rollers is disposed between adjacent ones of the first rollers, the third roller adapted to be brought into contact with the sheet medium with a second pressure which is smaller than the first pressure.

摘要： A sheet feeding device is operable to feed a sheet medium to an image forming apparatus. A cassette chamber has an inner face. A cassette member is adapted to accommodate the sheet medium therein, and to be withdrawably inserted into the cassette chamber in a first direction. The cassette member has an outer face adapted to oppose the inner face of the cassette chamber when the cassette member is inserted into the cassette chamber. At least one recess is formed on one of the inner face of the cassette chamber and the outer face of the cassette member. At least one protrusion is formed on the other one of the inner face of the cassette chamber and the outer face of the cassette member, and adapted to be fitted with the recess when the cassette member is plenarily inserted into the cassette chamber.

摘要： A conveying belt mechanism for an automatic document feeder, for conveying a document placed on a document bearing plate to a document exposure position on a transparent platen. The conveying belt mechanism includes a driving roller and a driven roller disposed above the transparent platen, with a predetermined spacing provided between the two rollers in a document feeding direction, an endless conveying belt looped over the driving roller and the driven roller, pressing rollers disposed between the driving roller and the driven roller for pressing the endless conveying belt against the transparent platen, and belt guides mounted at both ends of the driven roller. Each belt guide includes a boss portion mounted on a rotating shaft of the driven roller so as to be capable of relative rotation, a detachment-preventing portion which protrudes from the boss portion diametrically beyond an outer peripheral surface of the driven roller and which has a front end bent inwardly, and a rotation stopping portion provided in the boss portion, the rotation stopping portion being engaged with a rotation restraining member.

摘要： This invention relates to a document transport device for use in an image forming apparatus. The document transport device has a first belt roller disposed above a document positioning member. A second belt roller is disposed away from the first belt roller in the document transport direction. An endless belt is wound around the first and second belt rollers. Plural presser rollers are arranged on a specified position between the first and second belt rollers to press the belt against a contact glass. The document transport device has a tension roller between the first belt roller and the presser roller closest thereto to apply a tension force to the belt so as to set the belt at the lowermost position of the tension roller below a common tangential line to the circumferences of the first belt roller and the presser roller and apart from the contact glass.

摘要： A document conveying apparatus for a document processor has a pair of width restriction members for correctly positioning documents to be processed. The width restriction members are movable in the width direction of the document processor. First and second rack-and-pinion mechanisms are spaced apart in the document conveying direction and are interlocked so that the racks of both mechanisms move together in a synchronized manner. Each width restriction member is coupled to two of the racks that move in the same direction.

摘要： An apparatus for the formation of images having a body of the apparatus provided with a corona charger, in which a corona wire is strung along a charging opening of the corona charger. An image-forming device is installed in the body of the apparatus. The device is removable from the body of the apparatus along the corona wire. The apparatus further includes a cleaning device that is attached to the end portion of the image-forming device opposite to the direction in which the image-forming device is pulled out of the body of the apparatus. The cleaning device touching the corona wire through the charging opening when the image-forming device moves along the corona wire and separating from the corona wire when the image-forming device is installed into the body of the apparatus.
