摘要： A combination dry bait container and aerator apparatus which is adaptable to an inside wall of a commercially available, off-the-shelf, thermally insulated chest-type coolers. The apparatus includes a plastic molded insert having several small compartments formed therein, wherein each compartment opens only to the top thereof. The apparatus is adapted to be received into the reservoir of the insulated cooler and is selectively attachable to one of the side walls thereof. A battery-powered aeration pump is disposed in one of the small compartments defined in the insert and is coupled in air flow communication with the reservoir of the cooler containing water and live bait, such as minnows and leeches. The aeration pump supplies air to the water and thereby aerates the water to ensure the longevity of the live bait. The present invention also shields the live bait from extreme environments such as direct sunlight, or extreme and sub-zero temperature conditions. It is easily manufactured and requires relatively small tooling costs. It is also portable and can be adapted to any number of differently sized specified insulated coolers. Other small compartments defined in the insert can be used to store dry bait, such as worms or frozen smelt, but can also be used to store food or beverages.

摘要： An improved bait tank which can maintain bait over a prolong period by injecting water in a circular motion in the upper portion of the tank and withdrawing it near the bottom. The flow of water in this manner flushes scales, feces and other debris out of the tank. It also eliminates bubbles, which are harmful to bait. The water level in the tank is adjusted by an extension of the outlet pipe which rises to the desired level of the water in the tank. Interior fill pipes are eliminated, leaving an unobstructed smooth surface on the interior of the tank.

The Pop-Up Bait Server for convenient delivery of live bait kept in water contained therein, includes an outer container having an inside; an inner container fitting at least partially inside said outer container, the inner container having an inner wall and an adjoining bottom in which define an interior of the inner container; and a latch mechanism for a releasably restraining the inner container inside the outer container such that the interior is at least partially under water when the inner container is restrained in the outer container by the latch mechanism and the outer container contains an amount of water sufficient to at least partially submerge the interior within the outer container, wherein the interior can contain live bait which resides in water within the interior when the inner container is restrained by the latch mechanism inside the outer container. The inner container includes a water passage mechanism for allowing water to pass through the inner container and into and out of the interior and a buoyant mechanism for buoying the inner container such that the interior will rise when unrestrained and under water. The pop-up bait server kit includes the inner container and the latch mechanism of the present invention.

摘要： This invention relates generally to apparatus for replenishing the supply of fresh water to a bait well or bucket of a waterborne vessel, and more particularly to a housing removably connectable to a bracket on the exterior of the transom of a motor-powered fishing boat, said housing having a depending ram water pickup extending generally below the bottom surface of the craft, said pickup enclosing an aperture in the housing for conveying a forced flow of water from the exterior of said housing to the bait well or bait bucket of the boat while the boat is moving across the water. A small "silent-type" electric water pump is associated with the housing for selectively supplying the live bait well with a supply of fresh water from the body of water being fished from while the boat is at rest.

摘要： A live well for keeping fish and bait alive includes compartmented hull that may be attached to the gunwale of a boat through swing arms which enable the hull to be positioned in the boat or to the side of the boat where it may be either in or out of the water. The hull contains ports which enable water to flow into the hull and to circulate through its compartments, thus sustaining fish and bait in those compartments. At each port is a valve for closing the port, and this enables water to be trapped in the compartments when the hull is out of the water. The valves are controlled from the exterior of the hull. Moreover, the hull may be detached from its swing arms, so that it and the fish or bait in it may be easily carried from one place to another.

摘要： A light-weight, longitudinally extending, bottle-like fishing bait container for live minnows and the like has a body of transparent or see-through wall construction with a neck at one end thereof on which a lid is removably mounted for cleaning-out purposes. The body of the container is adapted to be carried in an endwise-suspended relation on the clothing belt of a fisherman by a flexible connector chain or the like of a clamping assembly, and also to be pulled behind a boat in a lengthwise floating and partially submerged relation. The connector chain is secured to the ring of a centrally positioned mounting boss or post on the lid. The lid has a central bait inserting and removing open portion in a bottom segment thereof, and a side group of water and air circulating holes therein in a balanced, side-positioned relation with respect to said open portion. A closure member of substantial quadrant shape is, at its inner end, swingably pivoted by a stem extending backwardly from the mounting boss substantially centrally of the lid. Importantly, the closure member is weighted to cooperate with the end assembly in always retaining a bottom half of the body in a substantially longitudinally aligned, submerged relation with respect to the surface of a body of water.
