    摘要: In a preferred embodiment, a workstation kit includes a support column having a partially open end, an easily accessible interior cavity, and a number of openings in the column's outer surface allowing utilities to be run within the column to the workstation. The support column has a plurality of holes around its periphery allowing the easy addition of a variety of workstation components in a number of different configurations providing a workstation with high modularity. Another component of the workstation kit is a cap defined by a vertical cavity and attaching to a partially open end of the support column allowing utilities to be run into the column and additionally providing a handle. An accessory includes a retractable privacy screen which attaches to the column. Methods for reconfiguring a workstation kit and for wiring a workstation are provided. Additionally, methods for attaching and detaching a retractable privacy screen are provided. Finally, a method of moving a workstation is provided.

A generally horizontal cable guide includes a top wall and a plurality of depending side walls, and the side walls are slotted for receipt of the equipment cables so that the cables on the counter are concealed within the cable guide. A generally vertical cable guide is connected between the shelf and the horizontal cable guide, and includes a front wall and a pair of laterally spaced front side walls secured to the front wall and adapted to extend between the front wall and the edge of the counter so that the equipment cables passing around the edge of the counter are concealed within the vertical cable guide.

    摘要: A rack for suspending an electrical or mechanical component below a support surface. The rack is quickly assembled with relatively few parts, but it is easily adjustable to a accommodate a large variety of component shapes and dimensions. The rack includes two loops each having a right angle member, a strap or belt, and a buckle. The two loops are associated with a plate member which supports and separates the loops. The plate member is placed on the upper surface of the electrical component to be suspended and the two loops are then tightly secured about the component. The resulting assembly is then attached to the support surface. In a preferred embodiment, a bracket is secured to the support surface and the plate member of the assembly is telescopically engaged with the bracket, horizontally sliding the assembly into position below the support surface.

    摘要: A supporting apparatus for supporting a display includes: a pillar body; a limiting unit connected to the pillar body to define a limiting space; a sliding unit movable on the pillar body; a mounting unit connected fixedly to the sliding unit and including a mounting seat for mounting the display; and a torsion coil spring that has a straight portion secured fixedly to the sliding unit and a coiled portion received in the limiting space. The torsion coil spring is retractable and extendable to convert between a retracted state, where the sliding unit is adjacent to the limiting space, and an extended state. When the torsion coil spring is converted from the retracted state to the extended state, the sliding unit is moved away from the limiting space.

    摘要: Tablet computers typically cannot stand up on their own. There are prior art padded stands for supporting tablet computers but they support the computers too low for reading, are too uncomfortable, or are oddly shaped. The present pillow stand includes an outer shell with flexible top and bottom panels connected by a planar seam to form an elongated olive-shaped cross section. A soft filler is enclosed within the outer shell. A receiving member is positioned on an exterior of the top panel for supporting a tablet computer in a standing position only along its lower end. A stabilizing member is positioned within the outer shell and connected to the receiving member through the top panel. The stabilizing member is engaged against the filler to support the receiving member and the computer. The stabilizing member spreads the weight of the computer across a large enough area of the soft filler to stably support the computer. The present pillow stand raises the tablet computer to reduce neck strain, it provides a soft hand rest in front of the computer, and it blends in with home decor by masquerading as an ordinary throw pillow.
