摘要： An absorbent article aritcle for women includes an absorbent body which is sandwiched between a liquid-permeable outer sheet and a liquid-impermeable outer sheet. The article has a front part, which is intended to face forwards when the article is worn, and a rear part. The absorbent body has a length of 140-260 mm and tapers rearwardly from a section of greatest width situated in the front part of the article to the end of the rear part of the article. 摘要： An absorbent article and method are disclosed for providing side leakage protection for an undergarment and absorbent article positioning guidance for proper placement on the undergarment. In one embodiment, an absorbent cuff pad is configured to fit the pudendal region of a woman with cuffs for receiving a crotch portion of an undergarment. In one embodiment, an absorbent pad and liquid-impermeable baffle are provided with stiffening means for a pair of garment-attachment nesting ridges for receiving an arcuately shaped crotch portion of an undergarment. In one embodiment, an absorbent configured to fit the pudendal region of a woman, a liquid-impermeable baffle, and stiffening means for multiple pairs of garment-attachment nesting ridges receive and protect an arcuately shaped crotch portion of an undergarment. Arcuately shaped pleats on a bottom lateral side surface of the absorbent article form the nesting ridges. In one embodiment, a pressure sensitive adhesive provides force to support the cuffs or the nesting ridges holding the undergarment in place during use. In one aspect, the absorbent article provides two or three or more garment-attachment nesting ridge pairs.

摘要： An elongated, curved sanitary napkin having elasticized, raised side edges along the opposite sides of an absorbent. A garment attachment panel is secured to the underside of each raised side edge. A fixed portion of the garment attachment panel is bonded flat against each raised side edge so that a free portion of each of the garment attachment panels, extending from the fixed portion, is directed generally inward and downward. During use, the garment attachment panels are fastened together beneath an undergarment crotch by hook and loop type fastener. The fastener and the garment attachment panels are dimensioned so that, when fastened, the garment attachment panels exert a pull on the raised side edges and control their deflection, thereby preventing them from folding in over the absorbent. The garment attachment panels confine the crotch portion of the undergarment under the absorbent so that the elasticized edges of the panty crotch are prevented from pulling up and onto the absorbent.

摘要： The present invention relates to a compound sanitary napkin (20) comprising a primary absorbent member (30), a base member (50), flaps (33) and at least one zone of extensibility (66). The compound sanitary napkin (20) has a longitudinal center line along a longitudinal direction and a transverse center line along a transverse direction. The primary absorbent member (30) has a longitudinal length (PL), a transverse width (PW), a thickness (PT), a pair of longitudinal sides (24) and a pair of transverse ends (25), and comprises a primary absorbent element (30) and a fluid pervious cover (32) superimposed on the primary absorbent element (30). The base member (50) has a longitudinal length, a transverse width, a thickness, a pair of longitudinal sides (21) and a pair of transverse ends, and comprises a fluid pervious body-facing sheet (52) and a fluid impervious garment-facing sheet (54) joined to the fluid pervious body-facing sheet (52), the primary absorbent member (30) is joined to the base member (50) at least at a part of the longitudinal direction of the primary absorbent member (30). Flaps (33) extend laterally outwardly from the longitudinal sides of the base member (50). Each of the flaps (33) has a proximal edge (40) joined with the longitudinal sides (21) of the base member (50), a distal edge (41) spaced laterally outwardly from the proximal edge (40). The flaps (33) cover a portion of the leg openings of the wearer's undergarment. At least one zone of extensibility (66) comprises at least a portion of the flaps (33), wherein at least a portion of the zone of extensibility (66) is spaced longitudinally away from the flap transverse centerline. The entire length of the proximal edge of the flaps (33) is not less than 20% of the length of the primary absorbent member (30). At least the zone of extensibility (66) is extensible to be capable of a stress given to the flap (33) when the compound sanitary napkin (20) is worn so that the flaps (33) are relatively free from shifting when at least a portion of the primary absorbent member (30) shifts away from the flap (33).

摘要： An absorbent article is disclosed which is designed to be secured to an undergarment. The undergarment includes a crotch protion with a pair of side edges. The absorbent article includes a liquid permeable cover, a liquid-impermeable baffle and an absorbent enclosed by the cover and the baffle to form a pad. The pad has first and second raised longitudinally-extending sides, each with a vertically oriented outer surface. The pad also has a garment-facing surface. The absorbent article also includes a pair of flaps which cooperate with one another to extend around the crotch portion of the undergarment and overlap one another. Each of the flaps has a proximal edge and a distal edge. The proximal edges are affixed to one of the vertically oriented outer surfaces and each of the distal edges extend downwardly and inwardly around the crotch portion of the undergarment. The pair of flaps are secured together by an attachment. The absorbent article further includes first and second channels formed in the garment-facing surface of the pad. The first and second channels are sized and configured to mate with the side edges of the undergarment.

摘要： An elongated sanitary napkin has deflectable longitudinal side edges formed by an edge or peripheral seal along the opposite sides of an absorbent. A garment attachment panel is secured to the underside of each side edge. A fixed portion of the panel is bonded flat against the side edge so that a free portion of the panel, extending from the fixed portion, is directed inward and downward. During use, the panels are fastened together beneath an undergarment crotch portion by hook and loop type fastener. Fastener and panels are sized so that when fastened the panels exert a pull on the side edges, controlling their deflection and, for example, preventing them from folding in over the absorbent. The garment attachment panels confine the undergarment crotch portion under the absorbent so that, for example, an elasticized edge of the crotch portion is prevented from pulling up and onto the absorbent.
