    摘要: The present invention relates to a torsion bar assembly for use in a vehicle suspension system. The torsion bar is elongated and has axially adjacent sections, one section being more rigid than the other. A protruding bracket is fixed to the torsion bar proximate the meeting point between two sections of the torsion bar. A stop is fixed to the vehicle and disposed to engage the protruding bracket when torsional forces acting on the torsion bar exceed a predetermined level.

    摘要: A twist isolating connection between a distal end of an elastic beam disposed transversely of a vehicle sprung mass and an adjacent end of a torsion rod disposed longitudinally of the sprung mass between a suspension control arm and the elastic beam distal end, the connection including a yoke rigidly attached to the end of the torsion rod with a pair of legs straddling a platform member on the distal end of the elastic beam, and a pair of protuberances on the legs engaging opposite sides of the platform member in a common transverse plane of the sprung mass but at laterally spaced locations. The elastic beam is thus clamped between the protuberances which transfer torsional moments to the elastic beam for resistance in bending modes but which isolate the elastic beam from the torsion rod with respect to twisting of the beam due to beam bending of the torsion rod.

    摘要: A torsion bar suspension is provided with a torsion bar connected to a lower suspension arm and independent of the connection between the lower suspension arm and a vehicle body. The torsion arm is connected to the lower arm at a position remote from the position in which the lower arm is connected to the vehicle body. The torsion bar suspension also includes a compression rod connecting the lower suspension arm to the vehicle body, which compression arm is located outward of the torsion bar and is connected to the vehicle body at a point rearward of its connection to the lower arm. A bushing assembly is provided between the vehicle body and the lower arm allowing lateral and vertical movement of the lower arm relative to the vehicle body.

A bush has a body part that includes a rectangular part with a rectangular shape and a curving part having a curved shape at an outer circumferential part thereof. The body part has a side surface part on which a protruding part is formed so as to protrude outwardly. When contained in a U-shaped part of a bracket shown in FIG. 3B, the rectangular part is arranged at a straight line part of the U-shaped part, the curving part is arranged at a circular arc part of the U-shaped part, and the protruding part is pressed toward the body part by an inner surface of the U-shaped part.
