Abstract: A barn door includes vertical members at its ends and lateral members extended between the vertical members which the vertical and lateral members being interlocked where they meet. To this end, the vertical members are channel-shaped, each having a front and a rear wall along with a end wall that connects the front and rear walls, it being formed integral with both. Each vertical member has vertical ribs which project toward each other from its front and rear walls. The lateral members, on the other hand, have vertical slots in their side walls. The ribs of the vertical members snap into the slots of the lateral members and this interlocks the vertical and lateral members. The joints so formed are rendered more secure with screws which pass through the front and end walls of the vertical members and into the side walls of the lateral members. A siding material is attached to the lateral members and at its ends projects under a lip on the front walls of the vertical members. The door so formed is hung from trolleys which roll in a track.

Abstract: There is disclosed a door framing system for a barn door or the like wherein a plurality of horizontal and vertical frame members are joined together to define a generally rectilinear frame structure. All of the frame members are fabricated from sustantially U-shaped channel members of similar cross-section, such that they may be cut from stock material of said U-shaped cross-section. Corner joining brackets are employed which include a pair of transversely disposed base sections, with spaced side flanges extending from each said base section to provide a U-shaped surface configuration which will embrace the outer side faces of the frame members. The brackets including clamping means for coupling the brackets to the respective frame members. There is also disclosed various bracing structures for such a door frame construction, as well as various hardware for effecting hanging of the door, guiding of the door with respect to a building structure and stop means for maintaining the door in the proper closed position.

Abstract: A mechanism for a covering such as an encasement window or door or awning is provided. The mechanism includes an arm, on which a slot is configured. The slot includes a straight section and an angled section. The arm also includes a hole that is offset from the centerline of the straight section and disposed between the angled section and an end of the arm. A pin shaft is disposed in the hole and held in place by a cover member and a movable member, enabling the arm to rotate about the pin shaft. A rivet pin is disposed in the slot and fixedly connected to a fixed member. When the movable member moves, the arm moves such that the hung sash is unlocked from the fixed frame of the covering, and the angled section engages the rivet pin, causing the arm to rotate to open the covering.

Abstract: In the roof window, each hinge (310) of the set of hinges comprises a frame hinge part (330), a sash hinge part (340), and a movement supporting assembly comprising guiding means including a linkage mechanism with at least two links (350, 360) providing connection between the sash hinge part and the frame hinge part. Abstract: A vehicle roof system for comprises a closure panel having a panel support and a stationary guide rail at each longitudinal side of a roof opening for slidably guiding an operating mechanism that operates the closure panel. The operating mechanism comprises a rear device for moving the closure panel rear edge towards a raised position. A front device includes a first lever for moving the closure panel front edge vertically. A driving slide is drivable by a drive member to move the closure panel both in vertical and horizontal directions through the front and rear devices. The first lever is pivotally connected to the panel support only and has a first slide shoe engaging a stationary guide curve of the guide rail, that includes a downwardly and forwardly inclining front portion. The first lever slides and tilts when the shoe travels through the front portion of the stationary guide curve.
