    摘要: A zero-crossing silicon controlled rectifier control system for single-phase, full-wave and three-phase operation. An error signal representing the difference between desired and actual load values in integrated to control a first switch constituted by complementary transistors. A second switch, in series with a pulse generator and the first switch, is conductive during portions of alternate half cycles. Concurrent conduction by both switches energizes the pulse generator which causes a pulse to be generated on the energization. This turns on a first silicon controlled rectifier at the beginning with the positive-going zero crossing. A second silicon controlled rectifier controlled by a trigger circuit conducts during the next half cycle in response to load energization.

    摘要: A dimmer control circuit for application to a load bank produces a sinusoidal power wave form exhibiting the desirable characteristic of suitable rise and fall times producing little or no audible or radio frequency interference. A pair of MOS-FET power devices operate in a linear mode and attenuate respective half-cycles of a single phase power line as a function of a dimmer control signal applied thereto. The device includes a mechanism for avoiding damage to the power MOS-FET by controlling conditions under which a signal change is applied to the gates of the MOSFETs, and by imbalanced attenuation between the MOS-FETs through the range of the dimmer control signal.

    摘要: The essential elements of the electrical system of a treater, or dehydrator, of produced oil well fluids are connected and physically oriented as mounted within the shell of the treater. The electrodes (1 and 2) of the treater are energized from a line supply, or mains, through a transformer (10), to establish an electrostatic field. The transformer introduces an inductive component to the load. A control circuit (40) is arranged to respond to the current demanded by this inductive load and disconnect the load from the line supply, or mains, in a predetermined program designed to protect the components of the system, yet reconnect the load to the supply as frequently as practical.

    摘要: A power control system is disclosed which controls the power output of one or more resistive heating elements in response to operator selected power level settings. Control of power to the elements is accomplished by generating a multi-bit binary word representing a selected power level, each bit being operative to control the application of power to the element during a different control interval. A control word is generated for each element and is updated once during every associated control period, a period comprising a number of intervals equal to the number of heating elements. The heating elements are of a type which draw a relatively high current during a transient heat-up period. The application of power to other elements is inhibited when one of the elements is having power applied thereto during its transient period. Power control for each element is staggered by testing a bit of different positional value in each word during any given interval.
