    摘要: A centrifugal separator is configured for cleaning of crankcase gases from an internal combustion engine. The centrifugal separator includes a rotor rotatably arranged inside a stationary housing. The stationary housing includes an inlet for crankcase gases, a gas outlet, and a liquid outlet. The rotor includes a stack of separation discs, each separation disc of the stack of separation discs having a center axis, an inner surface, and an outer surface. A circumferential inner end surface extends between the inner surface and the outer surface. The circumferential inner end surface of at least one separation disc of the stack of separation discs includes a substantially flat first surface portion extending at an angle of at least 20 degrees to the center axis.

    摘要: An oil separator separating mist oil from processing-target gas includes: a case, a first partition wall and a lower, second partition wall, both partitioning vertically an internal space of the case; a partition dividing a space between the first and second partition walls into an introduction path and a first chamber; a supply hole vertically penetrating the second partition wall from the introduction path to a separation chamber; a communication hole vertically penetrating the second partition wall from the first chamber to the separation chamber; a rotor in the separation chamber; a center-side space in a center part of the rotor, the center-side space communicating with the supply hole through an open, upper part of the center-side space. The rotor separates the mist oil from the processing-target gas flowing from the center-side space to an outer periphery of the rotor, where the separated oil is emitted. The processing-target gas flows into the first chamber through the communication hole.

    摘要: A centrifugal separator for separating non-gaseous particles from a gas flow having a separator housing enclosing a rotor with a raw gas inlet, a clean gas outlet, and a particle outlet. A circumferential wall encloses the rotor. A raw gas flow is guided axially into the rotor. A clean gas flow is guided out of the rotor and then between the rotor and the circumferential wall to the clean gas outlet. The rotor comprises particle separation elements so that particles separated from the gas flow are centrifuged onto the circumferential wall. The circumferential wall particles are guided to the particle outlet via at least one particle guide trough running diagonal to the rotor axial direction on the interior of the circumferential wall. A radius of each trough as well as the distance between the rotor and the circumferential wall decreases in the direction of the clean gas flow.

    摘要: An apparatus for separating a gas mixture into a heavy component and a light component, especially for the enrichment of a gas mixture in uranium 235 in which the uranium isotopes are provided in the form of uranium hexafluoride, comprises a cascade of centrifuge stages each formed by a pair of spaced-apart disks surrounded by a housing and driven by a common shaft from a motor. The relatively narrow passage between each pair of disks opens into a greater space which cooperates with the gas along the periphery of the disk as held in place by the housing to form a boundary layer with the heavy component tending to diffuse out of the layer. Means is provided to collect the light component in the boundary layer.

    摘要: Turbo-separative methods and apparatus for separation of mixtures of gaseous materials having different molecular weights, particularly gaseous isotope mixtures such as mixtures of UF.sub.6, in which differential sedimentation velocities of the components to be separated are established in a laminar boundary layer of the gas adjacent a hydraulically smooth, porous blade surface, and in which a predetermined amount of the boundary layer flow is conducted through the porous surface to stabilize the boundary layer and to provide a higher density gas fraction. The velocity of the gas conducted through the porous blade surface should not exceed the sedimentation velocity of the gas species to be separated.

    摘要: Centrifuge for the separation of gaseous mixtures with a rotor inside a housing, comprising a hollow, cylindrical or nearly cylindrical rotorpart also called a separating drum, in which drum a gaseous component may condense as a liquid. This liquid is admitted thereafter through openings in the drum to the space between drum and housing. In this space are formed a sequence of narrow openings, so called restrictors in which the liquid is brought to expansion, returning to gas form.These restrictors act also as bearings for the drum. The gaseous component that does not liquefy in the drum is drawn off.

    摘要: The sampling device comprises a stationary axial column adapted to support at least one transfer tube which is joined to a transverse scoop within a sampling chamber. The scoop is displaceable between a withdrawn position in which it is wholly contained within the column and an outwardly-extended position in which it projects from the column as a result of a relative displacement of the tube with respect to said column. By permitting the controlled withdrawal of the scoops into the stationary axial column to which they are connected, the device makes it possible to introduce and remove the column and the scoops through a narrow transfer opening.
