摘要： A window/door securing device for securing a leaf, in particular an outwardly opening leaf, of a window or door in a closed position in which the leaf contacts a frame of the window or door comprises a base body and a counter-piece that is selectively latchable to the base body so that on a fastening of the base body to the frame and of the counter-piece to the leaf, the leaf can be secured in the closed position by latching the counter-piece to the base body. The base body has two installation surfaces so that one of the installation surfaces of the base body can be selectively placed on and fastened to the frame. In this respect, two installation surfaces are aligned perpendicular to one another.

摘要： An exemplary strike box is configured for use with a lockset including a bolt operable to move in an extending direction and a retracting direction. The strike box includes a housing having an opening sized and configured to receive the bolt, and further includes a bolt-slowing mechanism mounted in the housing. The bolt-slowing mechanism is configured to engage the bolt as the bolt moves in the extending direction, and to exert a force urging the bolt in the retracting direction. The force exerted by the bolt-slowing mechanism slows the extension speed of the bolt, such that the strike box reduces noise generated during such extension.

摘要： A door handle assembly includes a bracket mountable to the door and an insertion member received in and retained in the bracket via a retaining mechanism. The retaining mechanism includes a biasing member and a movable locking member that retains the insertion member in the bracket. The movable locking member is biased into a securing position by the biasing member when the insertion member is fully received in the bracket to retain the insertion member in the bracket. The movable locking member is selectively displaceable from the securing position against a force of the biasing member either to permit insertion of the insertion member in the bracket during assembly or to accommodate disassembly by permitting the insertion member to be removed from the bracket.

摘要： An electric door lock includes an operating device and a latch device operably connected to the operating device. An inner electronic device, an outer electronic device, and an electric driver are electrically connected by an electrical connecting module. An inner fixing member and an outer fixing member are fixed to a door. The inner fixing member includes an inner groove through which a first cable extends. The outer fixing member includes two first grooves. A second cable selectively extends through one of the two first grooves according to an assembling direction of the door. Thus, no matter whether the electric door lock is mounted to a left handed-door or a right-handed door, the electrical connecting module can avoid the mechanical structure of the electric door lock, providing convenient assembly.

摘要： A combination sash lock and tilt latch in one integral fastener may suitably secure a sash window that is slidable and tiltable with respect to a master window frame. The fastener includes a lock assembly and latch assembly. The lock assembly is releasably mounted upon the meeting rail of the sash window without screws, using legs received within corresponding openings in the rail. The lock assembly is secured thereto by a biasing member causing engagement between the legs and rail openings. The lock assembly includes a pivotable cam to releasably engage a keeper on the master frame, and a pivotable arm extending into the meeting rail. The latch assembly includes biasing means and a latch member, which includes a fixed funnel member and a flexible funnel member on a distal end of a flexible beam, to blindly engage the lock assembly arm within the meeting rail, when installed therein.

摘要： A window vent stop for use in a sliding sash window or a sliding door assembly. The vent stop has a housing adapted to be disposed in a recess in the non-movable sash member. This housing includes a cavity with a bottom plate therein. The tumbler has at least one pivot for pivotally securing the tumbler to the housing for movement between an extended position, to prevent movement of the sliding member and a retracted position, to allow movement of the sliding member. Also within the housing the tumbler is formed with a plastic member for selectively biasing the tumbler. The housing has one or more flexible members extending from the end walls of the housing that secure the housing to an opening in a window sash when a portion of the window sash is positioned between the underside of a lip on the housing and the flexible member.

摘要： A door handle may be mounted to a door with concealed fasteners. The fasteners do not engage the door itself, but rather engage a top plate that is mounted to the door. The fasteners are inserted into a hidden portion of the door handle and generate an opposing force as they press against a bulging portion of the top plate to produce a force that retains the door handle in place. The force generated also urges the door handle into a bottom plate on an opposing side of the door handle. The bottom plate includes a first and second planar section. The second planar section of the bottom plate is received into a receiving slot of the door handle. As a result, the door handle is retained on the door without any visible fasteners.
