    摘要: The invention relates to a coupling device for a drive train of a motorcycle or other motor vehicle, in particular for suppressing a so-called hopping. According to the invention, the coupling device has an output rotation part, a switchable friction coupling, which has an energy storage device for closing thereof and which is closed in an unactuated state, and at least one freewheel coupling for forming a torque transmission path for torque transmission from the input rotating part to the output rotating part, wherein the freewheel coupling includes the following components: an inner rotating element, the outer circumference of which forms a sawtooth-shaped circumferential structure having a plurality of circumferentially extending ramps; a substantially annular plate structure having an individual plate element or a stack of a plurality of plate elements, the inner circumference of which forms a sawtooth-shaped circumferential structure having a plurality of circumferentially extending counter-ramps to form an interlock and/or a friction lock together with the ramps of the inner rotating element in a rotation direction; and an outer rotating element surrounding the plate structure. The invention further relates to a corresponding drive train having such a coupling device.

    摘要: A wedge clutch, including: a hub; an outer ring; a wedge plate between the hub and the outer ring; and a displacement assembly including a locking ring including a first axial stop, an engagement arm, a first resilient element urging the distal end in a first rotational direction. The slider ring is axially displaceable to: rotate the engagement arm in a second rotational direction to transition from a connect mode, in which the hub and the outer ring are non-rotatably connected, to a disconnect mode, in which the hub and the outer ring are rotatable with respect to each other; and for the connect mode, enable the first resilient element to rotate the engagement arm in the first rotational direction to contact the first axial stop to block displacement of the hub, with respect to the wedge plate, in the first axial direction.

    摘要: A synchronizer clutch assembly includes a clutch hub which is axially movably mounted on a shaft, a gear which is axially spaced from the hub and which is journally mounted on the shaft and rotatable independent thereof, one of the hub or the gear having a conical friction surface formed thereon, and a synchronizer ring positioned between the hub and the gear. The synchronizer ring is coupled to the hub or the gear for rotation therewith and has a complementary conical friction surface formed thereon which is engageable with the conical friction surface on the hub or the gear. The synchronizer ring is composed of a plurality of separate arcuate segments arranged in a ring, which are movable between a first expanded configuration and a second, contracted configuration.

    摘要: A mandrel assembly in which the mandrel segments are expanded and contracted by means of a draw rod extending through the mandrel and driven by the same motor that rotates the mandrel during winding or unwinding operations. The draw rod is fixed for rotation with the mandrel but is movable longitudinally thereof and is provided with power threads on one end which are in engagement with complementary power threads on a nut member carried by the motor shaft. A drive gear is keyed to the nut member so that it is rotatable with the nut member but capable of movement longitudinally thereof into and out of engagement with a driven gear secured to the mandrel. A nonrotatable gear segment is mounted for shifting movement with the drive gear and moves into engagement with the driven gear as the drive gear is disengaged from the driven gear to lock the mandrel against rotation. When the mandrel, and hence the draw rod, are thus locked against rotation, continued rotational movement of the nut member results in longitudinal movement of the draw rod and radial movement of the mandrel segments.

    摘要: A free-running two way clutch having a drive element and a driven member and comprised of a plurality of rollers rotatable with the driving element and disposed against the inner periphery of a plurality of cam segments distributed about the driving element. The outer surfaces of the cam segments are brought into engagement with the driven member when a rotational motion is imparted to the rollers by the driving element. The symmetrical design of the cam segments permits bi-directional operation. An interface member having high static and low dynamic friction laterally abuts the cam segments. Engagement of the drive element and the driven member is facilitated because of the special frictional properties of the interface member.
