摘要: A light guide plate according to one or more embodiments may include a first optical deflector that guides light to be emitted within a first angle range to display a stereoscopic image in a space, and a second optical deflector that guides light to be emitted within a second angle range to display a stereoscopic image at a same position as the stereoscopic image. Across a boundary between the first angle range and the second angle range, a discrete change occurs between luminance of a portion of the stereoscopic image and luminance of a portion of the stereoscopic image corresponding to the portion of the stereoscopic image.

摘要: Provided are stereoscopic eyeglasses capable of reducing visual fatigue in binocular stereoscopic display by a simple configuration. In stereoscopic eyeglasses, in order to expand a tolerance of match between vergence and accommodation enabling comfortable stereovision in eyeglasses-using stereoscopic display, wide-focus lenses ranging in focal length are incorporated so as to overlap optical filters in light transmission directions, and accordingly, visual fatigue to be caused by vergence-accommodation conflict during stereoscopic image observation is reduced.

摘要: When a predetermined image is displayed for a user such that the user is able to visually recognize the image, the user sight line direction is detected, a part assumed to be present in the detected user sight line direction is set to a first image, an image complementary to the first image for the predetermined image is set to a second image, the positions of the retinas of the eyes of the user are scanned with laser light from a retinal scanning display unit fitted to the head of the user and the first image is focused on a position away from the position of the eyes of the user by a first distance and is displayed. The second image is displayed on the surface of the panel of a panel display unit in a position away from the user by a second distance shorter than the first.

摘要: Methods and apparatus to calibrate and/or validate stereoscopic depth sensing systems are disclosed. An example apparatus includes an image generator to generate a first image for a first image sensor; and generate a second image for a second image sensor. First content in the first image is to be shifted relative to corresponding second content in the second image by a shift amount. The shift amount based on a target depth to be tested. The example apparatus further includes a calibration controller to cause the first and second images to be presented on the display screen; and calibrate the first and second image sensors based on a difference between the target depth and a measured depth. The measured depth based on an analysis of the first and second images as captured by the first and second image sensors when the first and second images are presented on the display screen.

摘要: An example of an image display system includes a goggles apparatus and is capable of setting an angle of view of a virtual camera disposed in a virtual space to a first angle of view or a second angle of view smaller than the first angle of view. If the angle of view of the virtual camera is set to the first angle of view, the image display system sets a parallax between an image for a left eye and an image for a right eye to a first parallax. If the angle of view of the virtual camera is set to the second angle of view, the image display system sets the parallax between the image for a left eye and the image for a right eye to a second parallax smaller than the first parallax.
